They patch their files over SC, then change SC back after they're done running. Everyone would have to dl the mod unless you SCMLoaded the mod into the map. (I think it makes the mod run when you play the map)

Everyone would have to be running SCMLoader, though.

I'm just saying that they would no longer have to dl the mod seperately. (unless I misunderstand the program?)

Mods are played on private servers like ShadowFlare's Realm. If you're interested, this explains how to get onto ShadowFlare's Realm.

Yes, everyone needs to be running the mod for people to play it together online. It's the same thing for all mods of any game.

The point is that you are able to do so much more with modding than mapping could ever dream of. You can essentially make a whole new game.

Yay, its not on FG Beta!!! The older STF for 1.14 kept disagreeing with my comp. Now I should be able to play it :). It looks like its recieved many improvements over the pervious versions.

A random-note for those who would question the history and significance of this mod...I still remember Herc posting about it on the old Camelot Systems forum boards back in 2000-2001. Also, it is the only mod that I know of that have survived that long and came out this refreshed and polished. Awesome job Herc, you truly have class :) I strongly advise everyone to check out this mod, it's is nothing short of pure awesomeness!
