It stops being a defining characteristic when every game has it. All RPGs give you multiple paths to reach the same end. Sticking in a side quest =/= open ended.

I can also help with the TBC. I've seen a couple and made one once (It was buggy, but worked a bit) I think if I can dig it up, I can improve on it a bit and give you a TBC that works as well as PokeMon.

I think that if ideas are being stolen, they aren't unique enough to be called your own. If you have a brilliant idea, it's pretty hard for others to grasp exactly what you are thinking unless you explain it to them step by step and let them take notes.

Not exactly, and they get it wrong alot, which pisses me off the most. If I try my idea after they make my idea in their perspective, people will just go "ahhh, you prick! This is almost exactly like 'Map X' !! Learn some originality."

I actually just got IP Banned... I will be unbanned sometime next week... I had to call Blizzard to see when I would get unbanned and they said it was a maximum of 2 weeks, so that's how long I had gotten banned for. Yet for some reason I got banned from US East and US West, so I am forced to play on Asia! Terrible latency!!!!!!! :'(

HavoK and I have been working on the map incessantly for the RPG Contest. If you have any ideas that you would like to share, you can:

Keep in mind, however, that the map has changed significantly since the planning process has started on SCM. It is now a guided open RPG with variable endings.
