Does anyone know a good SCMDraft Counter part for the mac? Starcraft.org use to have one, i remember, but the sites all suck now.

You could try UnKnown Edit. I'm not sure how complete it is, though.

IIRC, there was 'starfire'. Not sure of its full functionality though.

It was worse than xtra editor on windows, and it doesn't work on 10.5 (because it's staredit based)

I thought there was an emerald version for mac.

Back when I had a mac, I tried so hard to find a scmdraft variant, but to no avail. It'd be awesome if there was one when I get another mac.

Are there any editors that you guys know of that can make square terrain?

None.

I think if you change StarEdit's filename to "StarEdit (Carbon)" it does work. At least that's what I had to do on mine oh so long ago.

There are very few. You have Emerald Edit, which is identical to the PC version. StarFire Edit, which is like a bad copy of X-Tra (some units are 1x1 pixel and some are like 30x30 pixels - namely a Zergling). UnKnown Edit is okay for square terrain, though keep in mind it is essentially just a copy of GUEdit on Mac, and at the moment I believe you can only make terrain in the editor but it won't show up on the actual map in StarEdit. This may have been fixed, though. I'm not sure.

There was also talk of SCM Draft Mac for a while, but that project died a looooooooooooong time ago.

Now im all sad :-(

The editor I was thinking of though was StarFire, but I didn't know it was that bad :><:
I'll try the carbon thing, though I don't see that working.

Yeah, I didn't think it would work, either, but if it's looking for StarEdit (Carbon) I just gave it what it was looking for.

They are all not worth their weight in salt.
(And software doesn't weigh anything...)

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
