If we end up lynching a townie tonight, I think it might be a good time for the illuminator to use his power again.

"You see, doctor... there are just... these people. Some of them are good. A few of them, who called themselves the mafia, they've started to kill the others. They won't stop until they're the only ones alive. I mean, it's all in my head and it's a (16a) (21b) dream but... it's just too real. I can't (10b) sleep like this. I can't live like this."

JaFF frowned as Mini Moose 2707 told him about the strange dreams he had been having every night. All his years as a (27a) psychoanalyst didn't prepare him for this. The same dreams, continuous through time and with the same (13b) (18a) (20a) (25a) recurring set of characters. Could they perhaps be real?

"Tell me your dreams from last night," JaFF sighed. He took a sip of his coffee, put it back down on his desk, and promptly flipped over to a new page in his (24a) notebook.

Mini Moose 2707 reclined on the couch and began, "Okay. So I'm not sure how this town originated, but everything was peaceful until last night. Dapperdan was the town's mayor. His house was getting attacked by the mafia. The mafia and Dapperdan's bodyguards were in a big gunfight, but the mafia had good (8a) (26a) (27b) steady aim and was able to kill all the bodyguards. Dapperdan was kidnapped and tied up. I'm not sure how the mafia got to them, this is just how it started. They were taken into a (13a) factory and brought down into the basement. The factory seemed mostly abandoned. The room in the basement where they left the mayor and his bodyguards didn't even have lights. The mafia left and locked the door. They flicked a switch upstairs. The walls began coming together in the room downstairs. Dapperdan was (14a) (11b) crushed and killed..." Mini Moose 2707 began to trail off here, muttering bizzare manifestations.

"Gruesome," declared JaFF, his pen rapidly (3a) taking notes on his patient.

Mini Moose 2707 continued, "It gets worse, doctor. The mafia men came in after and dragged the bodies to a major intersection in the town. One of them had (11b) (19a) (25c) spray painted on the nearest building that read 'This town is ours now.' Then they all went back to their individual homes to pose as townspeople; to hide behind (3a) (10b) (11a) (11b) (25b) (27c) happy faces. The sun rose and the people found the bodies. (3a) Chaos erupted. Commotion spread. The town wanted revenge and began to rile up an (3a) old-fashioned lynching in the town hall. (3b) All the living were there. They started to argue and . . .

"Welcome back, have a seat," says JaFF, ready to work again this morning, "have you had more of these dreams?" he asks inquisitively.

"Yes, doctor... I'll start from the beginning," says Mini Moose 2707. JaFF flips over to a clean page in his notebook as Moose begins to detail the all-too-vivid images from his dreams.

"The first thing I remember was just a big (29a) (33a) black space, everywhere. It was like I wasn't dreaming yet, but I knew I was. I could feel hope stirring within me and the amorphous surroundings, but the combination with the dark confused me. Before I had anytime to understand why, though, the scene was shrouded with light - slowly - my dream truly began," Moose hesitates.

"What is it?" inquires JaFF, "What is it that makes you lose your words here? You must express them, even if it (24b) doesn't all make sense, we must allow these thoughts to release from your mind. We can rearrange them only after they have been spoken." JaFF rattled off a (25c) string of notes on his paper.

"Flashes of light slowly appeared before me, eventually forming some sort of image that I could not understand. Then, suddenly a scene unfurled before me. I saw one man, they called him Phobos, lying in his bed. He tossed and turned in his sleep. Another man sat at a desk beside him, sitting casually in a chair - his legs crossed. The man, although undeniably creepy, (13d) appeared more like someone in the audience of a jazz concert -"

"Wait wait wait, hang on a second," Jaff interrupts. He stared into his page as he continued, "What exactly is going on here? Maybe if you tried to restate -"

"And then he pulled out a gun, and shot him. And shot him again. And again. And again. And..."

"Mr. 2707, you must cooperate with me better if this is to ever work."

"When it was all over, Phobos was dead. The killer exited the scene without a moment lost, and all that was left was blood - and a (13c) note on that desk which that mysterious killer had been sitting by. I did not have time to read it before my dream took me elsewhere..."

"Morose," says JaFF solemnly. "What happened next?"

Mini Moose 2707 continues his story. "cheeze was making himself a delicious strawberry milkshake in his kitchen. He combined the milk and strawberry ice cream in his blender and tossed in a few strawberries. Next, he turned on his (13e) blender to prepare his midnight snack. Unfortunately for him, the (25c) noise of the blender meant he didn't hear the mafia behind him. He went into cheeze's cabinet looking for a blunt object. The mafia man broguht down cheeze's toaster on his head. Cheeze was knocked out, plus his head went into the countertop on the way down. 'Yes, yes, all mine!' grinned the mafia as he took the milkshake from cheeze's blender. cheeze may have been dead already or bled out over the course of the night, but he didn't live to see the morning."

"Did your dream have a 'morning' as your previous sleep?" inquires JaFF.

"Yes, yes it did. The town woke up and found the bodies. It was the same pandemonium as yesterday. A message was broadcast in the early morning too:

People running around and looking for clues until eventually word got around that there was another meeting in the town hall. Another person would be killed. That person was...

Mini Moose 2707 walks back into JaFF's office and closes the door behind him. He sits down. "How are you feeling today?" inquires JaFF.

"Okay. Should I start again?"

"Of course, let's get down to business then!" (9a) smiles JaFF, pen and pad at the ready.

"The dream began very similarly to last night. (15a) I saw all black, but slowly, images of (9a) light formed before me. It made some type of picture or character. But I could not make it out."

"Yes, extremely similar, what exactly are the differences though?" Jaff prods, "This may be important."

"Well, it was certainly clearer. And it didn't suddenly shift scenes, but rather, how do you say, (15b) (13g) drew back from the darkness. I was seeing the wall on a room... or something like that. And then it was back. The same room as the night before. Except now a new man was sleeping there. Deathman101 tossed and turned in the bed. I noticed (15b) (23a) bruises and scratches (13f) covering his face. The same (13d) creepy man sat by the bed, his legs crossed, reclining in a chair. I noticed that he placed a (23a) piece of white-lined paper on the table." Moose now paused.

"Mr. 2707, is that all?"

"All I know is that Deathman101 must have died. I saw nothing else."

"This must really being messing with your head," JaFF mumbles to himself under his breath.

"The next thing I saw was Darkling and Hitok1r1 coming in from the rain. Darkling rang the bell to MadZombie's house. They closed their umbrellas, dried themselves off and they went into the basement to discuss the mafia. As the night wore on, they began to hear people wandering outside the house. MadZombie swiftly locked his basement door just as the people got there. 'Hey, I need to get down there!' says someone viciously on the upstairs side of the basement door.

'Who are you and what do you want?' yelled up MadZombie.

'Nobody! Open this thing!' demanded the men on the other side, bashing against the door in frustration. They (13i) hear that the doorknob is being struck repeatedly with a blunt object in an attempt to break it off.

'Shit, what do we do?' asks Hitok1r1. (15c) (32a) 'I think I can pick the lock,' said one of the men upstairs. (23a) 'No! Too merciful! Get the C4!' yelled another. Darkling, Hitok1r1, MadZombie rush to hide in corners of the room and wait. They don't hear anything for awhile.

'Do you think they're gone?' asked MadZombie. The answer is no, which was given by an (13h) explosion. Fragments of MadZombie's former basement door tumbled down the stairs. Three men came violently down the stairs.

'Sorry about your door,' said one.

'Sorry about this, too,' said another, as they shot MadZombie, Darkling, and Hitok1r1."

"The last scene had a man called EzDay281 wandering the streets. 'SOMEBODY HURT ME!!!' he yelled. He was crying for someone to kill him. 'PAIN I NEED PAIN KILL ME' he continued as he collapsed to the ground. His heart seemed to be racing, but gradually died down and stopped. EzDay281 soon passed out and was found dead in the morning."

"Masochism . . . an interesting phenomena," interrupts JaFF.

Mini Moose 2707 continues, "The mafia found his corpse first and dragged him and all of the other night's bodies to the main road. They went back to sleep and continued posing as innocent townspeople the next morning. The usual commotion followed in the morning. The town wanted revenge and of course someone was going to be lynched again. Everyone living was gathered into the town hall. They debated and eventually decided on the lynching of...
