I've seen the russian remake of it, which is called '12', and I liked it. I'll definately check out the original.

The Prestige was good. Christian Bale is great, and the ending is sooo cool.
Ah, so you had already seen it. Cool, I'm glad you also enjoyed it.

My favorite ending is from "Se7eN" though. If you've seen it, I suggest you search YouTube for "How seven should have ended" and enjoy the epic lulz. If you haven't seen it, however, don't spoil it for yourself.

Crank was enjoyable because it's actually a comedy - they were trying to be a bit serious, but ended up making me laugh. Plus it's so full of mindless action!
What's even funnier is that there's going to be a sequel... yes he's still alive even after that fall.

To those that haven't seen the ending to Crank, watch this and you'll see how ridiculous it is that there going to be a sequel.

Pan's Labyrinth was good, but if I remember correctly it was in a different language.

I've seen both. Didn't like 'Man on Fire' that much, but liked "Munich" a lot - IMO, the best work of Eric Bana. I also simply loved the directing and the support crew (Louis and his father were better than Daniel Craig, even though he was a good cast for his role).

EcHo:

Yeah, I've seen it. It was very good up to the moment where they spend the evening before the battle at the fireplace, saying random shit. That scene with every line in it seemed so force, so fake in its atempt to glorify them that it made me not like the entire movie.

Horde: of course I've seen those. I mean, I understand that you think that I'm living under a rock in Latvia, but it's not all that bad. :P

The Illuminator is such a great movie. If you want action + comedy, Tropic Thunder. I laughed my ass out.
Tropic Thunder? Really?
I had to turn that movie off after like 15 minutes because it was just utterly stupid, boring, and not funny.

And I've heard
Crank
would be a good movie, but I haven't seen it yet.
I loved crank.

I don't have my harddrive plugged in atm, but here are some good recent ones:
Wanted
Taken
War, Inc

And I highly, highly recommend the TV show Jericho.

Wanted was bullshit, IMO: predictable, primitive and overused 'plot twists' (especially the one that says that the enemy/bad-guy turns out to have wanted to protect the main character, which can also be seen in several other 2006-2007 movies, such as 'Shatter' and 'One Missed Call'), awful storyline on the verge of humor (how many years did it take to catch all those rats?), awful directing, etc...

'Taken' seems interesting because of Liam Neeson, I'll check it out once the DVDRip comes out.

'War, Inc' looks like fun... atleast the story setup looks that way.

You have to give Tropic Thunder a chance. And you should have known it was going to be 'stupid' comedy when you went to see it. Imo the reason you didn't like it was probably because you had a shitty attitude going into it. I'm not saying it was a great movie... but it was pretty funny. At least a C or C+ on my scale. Give it a second chance.

As I said before... Crank is laughably bad. But you can like it for the comedy of it all and get some pretty good entertainment value. I agree with JaFF... wanted is utterly average.

Tropic Thunder was terrible! I can't say I'd recommend it at all.

Dapper, I've just seen 'Matchstick Men'. At first, Cage's performance seemed a bit awkward and forced for some reason, but his character grew on me in the first 15-20 minutes and I enjoyed the movie very much. It's definately the best 'con-artist' movie I've seen. Thanks a lot for recommending it. :)
