It has come to my attention that there are absolutely NO tutorials that explain how to do the following from this reference on maplantis wiki: Terrain
There is no tutorial explaining how to use the subtile tool, only what it does.
There is no tutorial explaining how to perfectly place the different terrains on each other
without screwing them up.
There is no tutorial explaining how to make custom doodads.

If someone has a tutorial link to these I'm sure the inexperienced or sucky terrainers (me) here at SEN would enjoy this because we want to make maps just as good as you do without it being turned down because of terrain.

Note: And if all you have to do is click on the cliff/terrain in subtile, it does not work like that for me.

Thigh high affectionado

All you do is select the piece and place it, placing ISOM near square will ruin any square in the area. "Custom Doodads" which you're probably just refering to the terran versions of them, are all in the palette.

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.

How the hell do you select the piece!? Leaving out critical information!

At the top Click Windows > Terrain Palette

You'll have 3 things, Type of placement, Size of placement, and Placement

Types, ISOM Square TilesetIndex CopyPaste

Size, 1 for 1x1, 2 for 2x2 etc

Placement, click it and It selects that type of terrain, then drag it on the map area.

Yeah, every terrain tutorial out there, other than the waterfall one, was made by me, at least that I know of, all of them can be found on my website.

If you want to use some already-made blends, I would recommend downloading the Terrain Compilation here.

Oh, and sorry about the colors on those terrain tutorials, haven't gotten around to converting them yet..

Wow, No shit, I can figure out how to put terrain on a map, I need to know how to use the subtile tool, not everything but the subtile tool.
Sorry I'm being so ugly but I'm really pissed nobody is directly telling me how to use this.

The subtile tool works by hitting CTRL and clicking on a tile, any tiles that can be used interchangably in that spot will show up in the box, you can click them and click on the spot you originally selected to replace the tiles there. It's really not that helpful, as it's not made with a bunch of blends, just the ones that would normally be put there by the Isom. tool.

You asked how to make extended terrain, and Dark Marine told you exactly what to do. And you didn't specifically ask for the subtile, and as falkoner said, it's not very useful for extended terrain.

It was all there to begin with. All you have to do is search the wiki. If a page doesn't work in the SEN wiki, chances are it works in the ML wiki.

Don't stereotype people. It's rude.
