Part of me wonders if there's yet hope for Anon actually having an impact on things in the real world through stunts like this. Or are ISPs just quietly snickering to themselves while letting shit like this go by to give the dumb kids a way to vent their comical rage against authorities?

I think we're nearly past the point of no return, to be honest. It's gonna take something truly paradigm-changing to actually have an effect on governments and authorities, now.

First, I'd like to say I love Aussies. Every one I've met online has been good natured, good humored, and disgusted by their govt's censorship.

Its a classic case of the old conservatives living too long and the younger generation getting tired of their shit. I'd love to see full on marches of college students and the like in a real form of protest. God knows the Aussie Scientology protests have had some of the largest turn outs across the globe. Anon as always, has the right idea and the wrong execution, I really doubt this is going to get them anywhere, not that protests guarantee results, but it has a much better chance of results.

Then again, I think my fellow Americans should be marching on Washington for a number of reasons, so I'd better focus on whats going on at home. =/

I dunno. Even protests just seem to be amusing spectacles to everyone else who already got their way, nowadays.



Besides. I don't think we'll ever get to see any protest group asking for flat-chested cartoon porn being taken seriously any time soon.

Its a matter of principle Tux, and I think you know that. The Aus govt has been doing a lot worse for a long time. Just because its an island doesn't mean they have to try and isolate it further from influences they don't happen to like.

Principal or not, in this way it's a battle where the field has been engineered in the gov't's favor. How does one make a protest for rights when it'd just be seen as whining for not having access to anthropomorphic loli art? You can't win in this way.

I'm starting to think protests are becoming increasingly useless in this day and age, personally. As for Anon? Well, that remains to be seen...

I don't get it. If they haven't already, wont something like this make them filter 4chan? With no Aussi residents in 4chan their is really no one in 4chan who would actually care since they wouldn't be effected by it. I highly doubt many or enough non aussies are actually putting effort into this. Everyone knows they aren't legion just sheep.

However, I agree with Anon here. Restricting any particular kind of porn, even if it is of small breasted women, is wrong, because they deserve to be webwhores just like large-breasted ones.

In other news, sure, the government will win. But anonymous has found its voice. It will not be silenced...it cannot be silenced, for every attempt to do so will make it that much louder.
