OK who can play musical instruments to any level of skill? Also sound editing or maybe electronic sound additions would be useful.

Currently we may or may not have

Excalibur - Vocals, lyrics

ToA - electric guitar, bass
Corbo - Harmonica
maybe me - composing, if we can't find anyone else
Farty - guitar, badly apparently
Artanis - imaginary drums (?)
RIVE - guitar/rhythm
Captainwill - guitar/rhythm.
DeV - Triangle
Vrael - Saxaphone, flute.
Riney - synth
Draven - sound editing, digital drums

Incidentally, you'll need a mic of some sort unless you're a sound editor.

We probably won't need any more guitarists ;J

Red classic.

I have mostly left SEN except for the Temple Siege 2 forum (hidden to most of you). I am available via PM still, and Skype as JackRCDF.

If it is important to you, you will find a way. Otherwise, you will find an excuse. -Unknown
Magnificent!
Perhaps you shouldn't be on SEN as much, too...

It's a shame I really don't agree with a single argument you made."

First thing we need is lyrics. Ex, are you going to make new ones, or perhaps use some you've already made?

For a first song, should we be serious or make a silly one with deerwhale and stuff?

Unless the lead is pretty easy I'm going to have to record rhythm or be a backup.

Why am I on harmonica?

If any I should be on every instrument, didn't you read all I said?
This just makes me mad. I quit the band.

I don't think this is going to work, in terms of recording, formats, programs to assemble everything in, ect.

I don't think anyone except ToA likes my work.

I don't do silly. Comedy has no place in music if we're doing it as an art, which is the only way I see music.

I also don't have any recording gear. A headset mic is not sufficient for quality vocals, and if I'm going to do something and have my name on it, its either all or nothing. I'm not going to have the funds anytime soon to buy a serious mic and shit anyway.

Is it in you now?
To watch the things you gave your life to broken
And stoop and build them up with worn out tools

OK Ex is out, which means no singer/lyrics. Anyone here able to hold a tune?

@Ex yeah recording quality was the thing I was worried about, in particular for vocals. Other instruments can be cleaned up a fair bit, but there's only so much I can do with vocals. Formats and software aren't a problem, as we're not going to be making a major hit first time anyway.

DeV we probably won't need triangle :( I'll put you down anyway.

What makes you think anyone here has the proper microphone/equipment to be able to record a good enough quality version of a .WAV to send off?

I doubt anyone here will have brilliant mics; it doesn't matter. We aren't going to be a serious band in terms of quality and making money, anyway, but I can fix sounds up to a certain extent, and if it still sounds like crap, so be it.

VSTs are fine for synth.

You can't make something great and fix something that sucks.. Lol.

Without proper equipment, the sound quality is going to be horrendous no matter how well you try to mix it down in whatever program you use..And if you don't go through and master, its going to sound even more like crap.

Doing this over the internet in my honest opinion as a musician, is going to cause a lot of issues especially from those who don't know music theory, dynamics of sound, frequencies and all that good stuff...Its a great idea but I'm with Ex on this: Its going to suck dirt.

And unless you have a degree in Mastering, I highly doubt you'll be able to do it properly and will just make things sound like crap...

Probably it will suck; i doubt anyone cares too much. It'll be fun for us regardless of how awesome it comes out as.

Collaborating is always fun...But if you're collaborating with those who don't know what they're going, its going to sound like crap no matter what you try to do..That's what I'm trying to get at
