If I want to use SCMDraft's text trigger editor (not TrigEdit Classic), how do I use it? It won't let me copy triggers from another map and paste them in the new map. I paste the triggers but they disappear when I re-open either trigger editor.
What I'm trying to do is make a ally/declare war system for my RTS map. I don't know how to use switches so I'm borrowing some triggers from another diplo map.
Win by luck, lose by skill.
Make sure you hit the Debug checkmark, the button with the blue diamond and checkmark on it, that's the actual save button, if it says FINISHED! then that means it worked, otherwise there's a bug, the save button doesn't do anything.
None.

There's no such thing as not knowing how to use them. Seriously there's nothing about it.
You can set or clear them in actions and you can check their state in conditions. A simple binary variable, yes or no.
They're useful to register when something happened and dependent on that event want to fire multiple triggers.
They can also be randomized, so n switches can generate a random number between 0 and 2^n-1
