Heres a good idea for a defensive map.

Enemies spawn at the temple terrain. Note how there is a square on the right hand side and the left hand side. The enemies object is to make it from the temple terrain all the way here:

However, people will start off with 5 hydras that are burrowed. The player will then unburrow them and get this result:

Instead of eggs, there will be waves of units. If any units make it to the end, that player will lose. You can purchase tanks that will fit in those 2x2 square boxes here:

Above those 2 tank spots, there is another 2x2 square box, however, instead of tanks being placed there, there will be lurkers placed there.
Remember, you haft to buy the tanks and lurkers.
I only began making the layout, so let me know if I should continue this.
A friend of mine said that someone already made a map like this :( .

Yea, usually people don't even bother to make a defense unless they have the knowledge to whore it with Starcraft special effects or some funny/cool theme or just something truly unique.

Your idea reminds me of CoCo Defense. Stacked units with a power up and stuff.

Hello

I like that concept but this is several years old :P
A friend named EM-NlN already done a good defense map. Even with free-placeable-build-spots (turrets -> move loca over truret -> remove turret -> create X burrowed hydras -> order hydras at turrert patrol to turret).
