Yep, the title says all:
I'm searching an excellent (best: 5.2 or 5.1) sound system, would be perfect when it got a remote as well.
Nevertheless, I want to at most spend 400 euros on that, so, does anybody know one?
400.00 EUR = 572.227 USDThanks in advance.

Most use dollars.
And why 5.2 opposed to 5.1? My one sub does way more than I need... what are you hoping to do? Shake the entire block?
None.

Converted price into dollars.
Also, if you got a good subwoofer show it to me, I actually love huuuge bass and I wouldn't mind shaking the entire town.

audio technology hasn't advanced since the '70s. There are audiophiles who rage at everything, and then there are people who just don't care. My roommate has a yamaha
http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/av/products/ht/rxv765.html[/url">RX-V765, or at least I think. Sounds great and all, but it doesn't make one bit of difference to me. He probably spent a little more than that on the speakers.
With that being said, I'm sure you could get a cheaper version, like the 365, but you'll still have to buy the speakers. at 200 for the receiver, that leaves another 200 for the speakers.
If you buy a sound system, it's not going to be awesome unless you really put the money into it (I'd do 800 if I cared, which I don't. My computer speakers are just fine) or you build it yourself. If you build it yourself, the price goes way down, since you can scrounge up a whole lot of stuff for cheap.
/mu/ and/or /g/ might be of some help, but I think you'll find most everyone is a troll or doesn't know what they are talking about (I don't really know what I'm talking about). I think you'll find that stuff is adequately priced based on how good they are. The market has had a very long time to settle (since all the equipment is the same from 30 years ago) and should yield a good buy at whatever price. Make sure you look at lots of reviews of what you think you might want.
Also, if you listen to mp3s on this, I will send you a virtual slap.
