Where you can modify your ship to teleport, launch torpedoes, gain extra experience, unleash powerful blasts of energy, and many other building functions. Enter Build-A-Ship Workshop. Choose Wraith or Battlecruiser and gain control of the temples while defending your base, customizing your ship along the way. Look for the complete Build-A-Ship Workshop, coming out on Jan 1st, 2010 (Edit very soon...) with a total of 11 ships! Many thanks to TassadarZeratul for helping with motivation, hours of testing, and being an awesome map partner. Download it! Play with your friends or by yourself! Have fun! Yeah, we made it hard so that it'll probably take 3-4 times for you to get used to it and finish it if you've never played before.. That way it has somewhat of replay value..!
And if we make it PVP it'll be too much like starquest, I'm pretty sure.. Crap! sorry! You're going in the credits on the real one! I'll txt some time when i'm not so busy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Actually I'd like to see a PvP version of your map very much Madroc. Starquest doesnt have half the equipment your map has and so the possibilities could be interesting. In fact, I purposely limited the buttons in StarQuest to be all within 1 dropship for simplicity's sake, not that it helps noobs learn to play or anything. I love PvP 3v3, its essential to many maps where you customize yourself such as Hero Sanctuary, Temple Siege, and Custom Hero Wars. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'd like to say I love the behaviour of the Terran Goliath that spawns once in a while if you build a Missile Turret. I'm guessing you spawn an MG and try to move the goliath to all MG positions until one 'works' so it basically never fails.
I'm annoyed a little bit by how you cant do stuff while building your ship. With more players for "cover" this would probably be ok though. Excellent introduction, forcing the player to follow simple instructions like "build refinery (ship's engine)". That kind of intro/tutorial should have a high pub-nub success rate, they either read one freaking line of text or leave the game. Gj on that. Can you please edit your post and provide info on the buildings again pretty please? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

When Madroc and I were testing together, it was much easier than when I was playing alone because one of us could hold off the spawn while the other builds. Firebats complicate things, but otherwise it was fine. With more players, this shouldn't be a problem at all. Especially if you aren't playing as Terran.

See my last post in the real thread. Complications ensued... but the map will be out within a few weeks! And it is freakishly awesome so far!
Oh and yes tank, I just made it so that it spawns scourges and checks if the goliath can be moved under the newest spawned scourge over and over and over.. 25 times to be exact, and if it still doesn't work after 25 scourges then honestly your gun doesn't deserve to shoot... I mean that probably won't happen much. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Just finished beating it, fun stuff. I've always liked the design a ship and fight in it genre stuff. I didn't get a chance to test all the weapon systems as my victory kind of snuck up on me (only two bases really..?). Not much of a storyline, rpg elements in the ship upgrading and all but I have to admit I was expecting a little more. The plans for the final sound good though--tons of ship options and all. Just need a story for why the ship is attacking these enemy waves and all that. Seems like it might be a bit too easy to win just getting massive armor and attack upgrades. I didn't feel a huge incentive to get a lot of other systems with the effectiveness of upgrades and the shortness of the demo.

If you don't get any systems, if I remember correctly you can't handle the waves of enemies before they start overwhelming you because you can't attack fast enough. And the idea for not having enough time to try out every system is to make you replay the map to try them. The final map is almost finished (really!) and will have all the elements you described. Thanks for playing ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
