Ok here's the deal, at school, all of the computers have Novell client installed which really ticks me off... It takes away all of the computer priveliges, and then some... Blocks websites, disables programs and system defauts, you name it...
I was just wondering if anyone knew some cool hacks/backdoors/tricks to beat the system. I don't plan on doing anything malicious(or I would just deleted it), but I just want regular priveliges(mainly music players don't work so I want that fixed lolz). But anything related would be a huge help. Info/setup(ill get Screenshots uploaded in a couple hours: Program: Novell Application Launcher Version 7.0.1.0 http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/zenworks -it auto launches when I log in Can: -Right click -I think command prompt -Explore function works Cannot: -Touch the control panel -Open programs(only ones they don't think will provide a learning environment -Close the client -Go to websites with the words hack/hate/kill/death ect... -Picture/video/gaming websites dont work either(youtube or google images or photobucket or miniclip or teagames) -No porn(no big though cause I could care less lolz) -No swearing programs/sites So any sorts of tricks or tips or whatever would greatly be appriciated. Thanks!(as for my hacking background, I know absolutely nothing so be specific )![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pray

@ Kellimus: yeah we got deep freeze too so I was just wondering if theres a way to save stuff to the network drives or something. maybe get admin privileges?
@ Esponeo: Yeah well one problem is I don't know even the basics to command prompt, i just figured it would hep. And yes command prompt works. So any help with that one? Also, i just had a genius idea! K, the computers have remote operation, meaning the teacher can view/control your computer from theirs. Is there any way I can use that to my mischievous advantage? So far, I've been able to access the .exe, run it, open the viewer, input the pass code, and I'm stuck now.... It said I needed the ip or dns, so i got the dns and now it says I need to have some file installed... Do you think it's already installed, just not accessible? or could I find it somewhere on the internet?(I'm not at school and I've forgotten the exact file name, but ill get it Thursday:) ) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pray

Can you access the C: drive? If you can, post back a.s.a.p because I have an idea!
I strictly reccomend you only do this if you know what WINServices is. Stage 1: 1. Open 'Run...' dialog 2. Enter this text exactly: 3. Select a service in the list called ZENworks Novell Client or similar. 4. Select the STOP buttin on the top toolbar. ZENworks Novell Client is temporarily stopped 5. Go to Internet Explorer 6. Hover on "Tools", select "Internet Options" 7. Select the "Security" tab. 8. Select the "Internet" logo in the selection row. 9. Select "Custom" 10. Select "Low" from the Use Default dropdown box. 11. Apply your changes. You should now be free from ZENworks Novell Client's stupid control. If not, PM me! |

If you had admin privledges, it really wouldn't help you unless you knew the password that your teachers use to disable Deep Freeze. I never thought of just stopping the program, but nay, I do not know what WINServices is... A brief explanation maybe?Edit: WINServices are Services that the Windows Operating System runs to help Windows function (I'm not too sure, that's my explaination... If you really want to know, check Wiki) You can access them via Run < msconfig, then select the tab named Services, or how AfterLifeLochie explained it. RegEdit is fun, too... Don't play around with that though, or you'll crash your compy (if you don't know what you're doing) This post was edited 1 time, last edit by Kellimus: Oct 17 2007, 8:40 pm.

Ok, I have this same problem at my school. However, my computer moderator is watching me and my friend cause we rigged some computers to shutdown
. But anyway so now we rarely even get on them because we know if we do anything he'll delete our accounts and we won't be able to use the computer for the rest of the year. Does anyone know how I can make the moderator not know what were doing/did?![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This is what i learned from fucking around with novell in my 3 years of highschool
I know how to create Admin Accounts on Novell / Delete Accounts. Etc.. and some other things.. Novell and same with every other program in the computer is in the windows\prefetch which means everytime you turn off the computer its ALWAYS going to have those programs on the computer anything not in the word document in Prefetch will be Deleted. To do this go C:\Windows\Prefetch Enjoy (Delete anything with novell in that folder Then check the word document in it CTRL+F Novell Delete anything that has that word in it) then delete some files in the novell folder and no more novell. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Okay, here's what I've gotten in my first 3 months of High School:
If you right click the bar on the bottom, I can get Task Manager, although Run is blocked, and maybe you can't do that. If you hit Windows+F1 or F11 it brings up Help and Support, you can then search for a program called HyperTerminal, once there, run the program from the link in the help. Hit No, then Cancel, then once you are in, hit Open and it should start you out somewhere inside of C:/, from there, go back a folder, right click one of the folders you see, create a shortcut, then Cut and paste the shortcut into your home drive, once done with that, close HyperTerminal, then open that folder, it will be inside of C:/, from there you can do all sorts of stuff. How to chat over the network: Once inside of C:/ back up all the way to C:/, then go to Windows>System32, then open up DxDiag.exe, go to Network, then click Test DirectPlay, from there, pick your username, then make sure the Create New Session is checked and hit OK, it should open up a window and tell you an IP address, tell that IP address to someone, have them do all the other steps, but hit Join Existing Session instead of Create New Session, enter in the IP you gave them, then pick your session, and you can chat. Command Prompt: While the command prompt HAS been blocked, there is a backdoor, instead of going to C:/Windows/System32/cmd.exe, go to C:/Windows/System32/command.com and that one will work. Enjoy @Kellimus Do what I said at the top to open up Task Manager, then start closing any processes you don't recognize on a normal computer. Oh, and for all you people trying to tell him to use Run, it doesn't work, there is no way to use it. Oh, and I was wondering, where is the actual Run in the computer?
