I'm in the middle of making a map, I have Player 2, Computer Zerg set to Campaign Zerg Insane, using the latest SCMDraft.
I've been monitoring it's behaviour, it makes a load of zerglings, then moves on to Hydralisks.. but I don't understand how, to my knowledge I gave them no starting resources, and they ignore both Extractors and Geysers for some reason, has anyone else had their zerg act up like this?
None.
Some AIs give the players extra resources to be able to build whatever they need. I think they're usually called cheating AIs. Not sure if the insane ones do that.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
Insane Ai sets to 2000 ore (minerals) & gas every 1500 time... I don't know which unit because that's the value I saw in SCAIEdit, if I remember this correctly.
Oh, alright.. I'll have the map run for a bit then, 1500 gas shouldnt' last very long with the amount of Hydras it was making, I'll see if they acknowledge the Geysers then.
None.

It's 2000 ore and gas every bit, so it might not run out of gas. However the AI should automatically mine if there's any geyser near the location where you run it. What I don't know if how much time it'll take for the AI to decide to start getting gas.

You could always set its gas to 0 if you want it to stop making Hydras. But I think that wouldn't induce faster gas mining.
