Hey uhhh im having problems with Civilization IV and TES4 Oblivion. I started playing both games and after maybe 2 hours for TES4 and maybe 6 for Civ IV they crash. I remember TES4 running on my comp fine when i first got it, so I checked the TES4 forums for graphics card compatibility stuff (my computer has RECCOMENDED requirements in every place except...Ghz and im not sure if it isnt meeting requirements because i dont know where to check it (yea i know i am terrible with computers)), it seems that my Graphics Card's standard version is not compatible, BUT it said nothing about my Pro version (I am using RadeonX1300Pro). Oh yes and I almost forgot a detail, when i installed the games it set itself to high quality. Well...any help is appreciated.
BTW: It may be a virus but i doubt it since my other games like Halo and Doom3 work.

If you want to check your computer's processor speed (ghz as you described it), right click on My Computer and select properties. A window will apear and near the bottom it will state your processor and the speed(in Ghz).
Ok back on topic..
Did you try uninstalling it and installing it again?
None.
Too little ghz... buy a new proccessor? Hell, you can get core2 for cheap now, built my entire PC for $2000CDN (and that was before our dollar owned your dollar) when we were at like... 85c of you guys

If your computer is a Dell, or another retail brand, then no.
I don't think you're looking in the right area for your problem. I do not think it has to do with your requirements.
Try playing the games with your computers side panel off, I suspect overheating could be causing some problems.

If Doom 3 works fine then your system is clearly capable of running these games. There is a small possibility, if you have less than 1 GB of free space on your hard drive, that you should delete something to clear that up. I seriously doubt that is the problem though. I can only assume that Civ IV and TES IV are just shitty fucking games with a fuckton of memory leaks. I'm positive TESIV has a lot. Try downloading any patches for the games and make sure you have the latest video drivers from Radeon. If that doesn't help, you could try disabling some of the special video options for those games. I know the X1300 is pretty gimped and may not support certain things although it should crash much sooner than 2-6 hours into gameplay..

dude dont get rid of indigo prophecy....get rid of doom... or vice city....cuz i mean vice city i know for a fact uve beat and stuff cuz i mean..its so easy =)

Ok I will try, but i have all patches, I have noticed the tower making alot of noises right before crashing. And doom 3 needs like what oblivion needs divided by 3
But I liek Vice City! Even uif it is easy! Even if I had a level 4 police chase on my first few min on it w/o getting in car!!! Besides, IP is kinda boring after u replay it.
I will try that too.
