This was a map I worked on a long while back before StarCraft 2 was announced, since then I've pretty much stopped making maps. So I'm just posting this maybe to give some inspiration. It was supposed to be a map where you could save your character and get a code that would allow you to start out with that same character/same stats/etc the next time you played the map. It's been done before, but not very well, and anyway its not what I'm showing...

The whole basis behind was to make something like Pokemon, you pick your race/sex and then you get to pick a monster based on what race you picked, you'd also get bonuses depending on your race. After you pick your race you go to this little area where your vision is dependent on what race you picked and thats it. It's a pretty cool effect that I personally haven't ever seen it done, it was a bit tricky to pull off though (getting the units to cloak 100% of the time was a bit of the pain). I also did a bit of art using the fog of war on the mini map ^^

Wow, not bad. I might use something like that if I make a map.
