I added sprites just to add on to the atmosphere. Really, the terrain would do fine without sprites.

Why are you so against sprites? They enhanced his terrain a lot. Just because it says Terrain Competition doesn't mean you can't pepper in some sprites to spice it up. Terrain is like meat, without anything to enhance the flavor, it's really bland.

I don't really have an issue against sprites, however, when they disappear, or crash, or don't last for more than 2 seconds in-game, that's when it bugs me that they're being used in the competition, because at that point it might as well be a photoshop competition, IMO, if it doesn't work in SC, it shouldn't count.

True, cause otherwise they are just a waste in your sprite count. Plus, its one thing if it
enhances the terrain. Its a completely other thing when it is crowding and obscuring it.
(ie it messes things up when you have too many sprites because units walk under, not over. Units wont show their attacks etc)
