A quick flowchart of your script in first post has the initiating sequence jump to the attack block? That doesn't seem like a good idea.

He's far from the first person to use GndAttkToIdle as the idle animation. Note that there are no attackwiths or anything in the block it jumps to. (I think the normal marine uses GndAttkToIdle as its idle animation as well.)

.lo* editing = not yet done; which .lo* file do I need to edit? There don't seem to be any relevant .lo* files in unit\protoss\, and there are only .grps in unit\thingy\

You can steal another unit's .lo? file (I don't think the marine has one) and give it to the marine.

I'd appreciate it if someone could guide me through this, as I've never tried this type of modding, and LoEdit hath minimal documentation.

Well I'm not sure how to give the marine a .lo? file, but I can suggest an alternative that I think might work, but I'm not 100%. Instead of using the scout glow, you could switch to the wraith glow, which uses a .lo? file. And then you'd just open the wraith .lo? (phoenix.lol) in LoEdit and set each frame to basically (0,0), considering the marine is in the center of the grp. Maybe offset it by 1 or 2 so it's not exactly on top of the marines head if you want. This should work too with the scout glow if someone tells you how to make it use a .lo?.

You'd still need to tell the marine to use the wraith's .lo? file I think.

Lol apparently yes, you sure do :P So scratch my idea.
Although, the wraith glow fits on the marine pretty well as is.

To give the marine a .lo? file to use:
Under "images", find the marine's entry. Under "special overlays" (or something like that), select the .lo? file you want to use for it.

PyMS and ProTRG developer

If you are going to edit/make a LO?, I suggest trying out PyLO from PyMS (link in signature). I don't have time for an indepth tutorial, but all you need to do is for every frame in the base GRP, you need a "Frame:" header and at least one offset (not sure why some have more then one offset, someone might be able to explain better). So for example if your marine had 3 frames, it would be sometime like:
Code
Frame:
   (0,0)
Frame:
   (0,0)
Frame:
   (0,0)

Then if you select the correct GRP's for previewing on the right, and put the insertion cursor (blinking vertical line) on a line with an offset, you can preview the base and overlay, and can also drag and grop the overlay to get the correct offset. If you need any more help I can give a better "tutorial" later. Good luck.

Why don't I just use the wraith's overlay, and replace the graphic with the scout's?

:hurr:

EDIT: Fixed the color (overlay was orange), should be able to fix the .lo file (the scout doesn't have one, wtf) To hell with this, I have no idea how to work PyLO.

I do have an awesome idea for weapons, however, so on to that.

TheHappy115 -- Yea, thats the issue. Thanks. It would also explain why my deleted map couldn't get updated. Updated version reduced collision on units (only thing added) since was dodging game (players collide with each other)

Ultraviolet -- If so, I'd just focus on getting them on scmscx.com and then you can link to that in the showcase thread for your maps

Ultraviolet -- I can't upload my EUD maps, I think the DLDB has some issue with handling them. Are you trying to upload EUD maps?

TheHappy115 -- Its been awhile but ever since I requested one of the Maps I posted to be deleted since I couldn't delete it myself (or update it), I haven't been able to upload any more maps. Any reason for that?
