Well it's been a big thing since the announcement of sc2, people have been posting sc2 hate comments on sc2 vids of youtube like "Sc is a copy of Warhammer 40k", or "Dawn of War 2 is better than Starcraft 2" and vice a versa to the DoW2 vids, what are your thoughts on this? Do you think Sc2 is better? DoW2? Maybe you like both?
None.
I think people who claim SC is a DoW ripoff are retarded jackoffs who don't understand that their precious game WAS MADE AFTER SC.
None.
I've always felt W40k = SC2(reapers totally stolen), so I can conclude that DoW2 > SC2.

and you don't understand that they are talking about SC2. What does that make you?
They are both different games entirely. DoW focuses on area control, squads, and tactics while SC and SC2 is your basic generic rts focusing on micro and macro.
The only real comparison is that both games have orcs and humans. Maybe you could equate the elves to protoss ;o
None.
Can't complain until you've played both, and like IP said, they are both very different.
Anybody else plan on getting DoW II, I probably will.

You know how you could beat someone's opinion? Say "SC2 isn't out yet. You're dumb for comparing games that aren't even out yet."
Either way, it doesn't matter what people think because it is their opinion and your opinion (which may be more logical) will never change theirs. So let people think SC2 is a rip off of DoW2. You're still going to buy it as well as all the other people.

Everything in SC is stolen except place names and the storyline. (And the storyline is iffy)

Lol I did and I was going to agree with you except when you got up to the orc part.

I think I once read that before Blizzard made SC, they contacted Game Workshop and asked if they could make a game out of Warhammer 40k. GW refused and Blizz made Starcraft instead, though you can clearly see it's inspired by Warhammer in several places.
Actually, they are some what correct. (History lesson time!)
Warhammer came a long time before SC, and eventually Warhammer 40k came out. And what did Warhammer 40k, a board game have? Well, they had that generic three aliens. They had one which was advanced technologically. They had one which was thirsty for blood, and the human counterparts. This idea since then has been overused and recycled.
Aliens Versus Predator, Starcraft, and even Halo have borrowed this formula. but it isn't that smart the bitch about how either is better, particularly when Starcraft is one of the most balanced RTS' out there, and definitely one of the best.

Warhammer 40k has far more than three races, Alien predates Warhammer.

Having spent plenty of money building up my Space Marines chapter (and if I have a bit of money on the side, I'd like to get back into the game at some point in time), it's safe to say that Blizzard completely ripped off the space marines and tyranids for terrans and zerg. Just look at the armor for your basic tactical marine and terran marine.

SC is pretty much a Warhammer 40k ripoff. It's a great ripoff, but a ripoff nonetheless. As for "retarded jackoffs," it's not good to go name calling if you are more than a little mistaken. Dawn of War did come out after StarCraft, but you absolutely must take into account what IP it uses.
I also just picked up Dawn of War II. The game is impressively fun. I actually prefer it over StarCraft, and I rank it up there with Company of Heroes (for obvious reasons). First and foremost, units don't act like mindless zombies. I love the suppression system which impacts your units' performance in response to what stress they are under. They don't take cover as much as in CoH, but they will still move behind walls and whatnot to get a defensive buff.

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.
I don't fucking care, I love both of them for various reasons.
The main being they're both incredibly epic.

You might want to start visiting 'DoW' sites now and not 'SC' site because I am pretty sure SC2 is going to keep mindless zombies as units.

Probably. SC's definitely my second favorite RTS (if you could CoH/DoW as essentially a single entity). I like DoW's basic gameplay over SC's, but I know that at the very least, CoH's map editor didn't let you do any scripting. However, Relic games have a number of things against them: they are pretty buggy (they can't pull enough Ram on 32-bit systems, leading to a number of crashes if your settings are too high), their map editors leave a LOT to be desired, and the online platform absolutely pales in comparison to Battle.net. Also, the campaign is driven equally as much by the atmosphere, the bleak grittiness, than by StarCraft's more traditional narrative.

Terratron is going to come in here all angry and shit.
