I used to have a North Eastern accent but I guess it changed. The test said I have a neutral accent, true to America
.
Which American accent do you have?My Results:
Neutral You`re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you`re just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don`t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.
I probably got neutral from thinking about each question before answering the quiz.

Dialect and accent is like the same thing, except accent is part of dialect because dialect is the pronounciation, grammar, and spelling. And don't tell it to me, tell it to the quiz.

I'm from milwaukee. We call it soda, not pop. A bubbler, not a water fountain. Other than that, we are straight.
I despise southern accents. It's just annoying.

Many factors have contributed to my accent: the britts (living in Cardiff), americans (my most influential english teacher has a pro-american accent) and russians (I'm a russian, duh).
This combination allows me to speak english such that everyone understands me.

Wrong. Dialect is change in pronounciation of words usually based on location and accent if a someone who is learning a language or learned and has a change in pronounciation of words. Trust me, I know. My old english teacher grilled me on these small things.
A regional or social variety of a language distinguished by pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary, especially a variety of speech differing from the standard literary language or speech pattern of the culture in which it exists
Such a mode of pronunciation recognized as being of foreign origin
