There's a demo on Steam too, but for some reason I don't feel like downloading it.

Predator of Bed Chambers

Game was almost banned in Australia and now it seems it not.

Reading in a PC Gaming magazine how game could be counted as having too much realism or blood kinda things.

Australia gaming board kinda doesn't like heavy violence games or sex themed games why stuff like GTA gets edited.

Anyway not played game yet but by looks of it if good as FEAR 1 should be a fun game to play.

If all else fails, crowbar the fucker

Played the demo. Felt to be cartoonier than the original, probably to work with the 360.

You can no longer lean in FEAR2, however you may now knock objects over. Enemies still lean with great frequency.
- Enemies respond quicker to your presence.
- Enemies use grenades more intelligently, although less often.
- Level design generally means you will not sneak up on enemies.
- Grenades are extremely abundant, and you may now cook grenades in your hand.
- You move much slower, but now have the ability to sprint.
- You can now slide and knock over many objects to use as cover while crouched.
- You may carry four weapons and four types of grenades.
- Shooting most surfaces no longer produces extremely thick clouds of smoke to obscure your vision.
- The bicycle kick, roundhouse kick, and normal melee return. The sliding kick does not.

The enemy AI is essentially identical, however the sequel is far more forgiving due to health/armor availability.
- Enemies now drop health.
- Health kits and armor kits are now extremely abundant.
- Health kits fully heal you.
- Armor kits fully armor you.
- You do not lose HP while armored.
- You may carry three health kits.

In terms of weapons, the selection is very similar to the first although all the guns have been re-skinned. The FEAR2 variants are silly looking weapons, as if they are toys.
- You can no longer dual wield the pistol and the new variant is an extremely weak, ineffective gun.
- There are now two shotguns, the first shotgun is a nearly useless slow-firing pump action weapon.
- There are two exotic weapons, both of which are exceptionally less useful, with far less interesting effects than the two exotic weapons from the first game.
* a plasma weapon that functions identically to the BFG from Doom 3.
* a laser that shoots a constant stream of energy.
- A submachine gun, assault rifle, sniper rifle return and function very similar to the originals.
- A rocket launcher returns that fires a single rocket.

Graphically the game appears to use the same engine as the first. Enemy models are equal quality to the original. The environment is now far more detailed, with many, many more objects.

Sounds to me like the game is a lot easier and a bunch of things got nerfed, so what's your first hand opinion Esponeo?

A worthy successor to the original that satisfies in ways no other game even attempts.

Yes it is, it's there. Though, it's not as fun because you can't shove the corpses around the level with it anymore. :(

IMO, it's a great game. If you liked the original FEAR and it's expansions, you'll love this. I'd also recommend that you play the first FEAR so you're not totally lost while playing this.

The only thing I don't care too much for is the weapon selection. You'll only find about 4 weapons to be useful at all to you, and the other guns, such as the Combat Shotgun as mentioned before, are useless. At least they have a version of the Penetrator called the Hammerhead, which is a less cool looking variant that shoots blue glowing spikes instead of normal ones.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet as I still haven't beaten the campaign.

If anything cool is ever going on Skype me up under the name "blarghle"

Played the demo, looks like a game that you can play once and then throw it away. Gun firing sounds sounded pretty weak for submachine gun, shotgun, sniper, and assault rifle.

Driving the Matrix styled mech was pretty awesome though.

I just piratedbought FEAR2 and am loving it, not so much for the scary atmosphere, which I find severely lacking compared to the original, but for the ridiculously fun combat against the soldiers. It's like everything I wanted to feel in Crysis, but didn't get (save for those few hectic moments in Crysis where you end up fighting off squads of infantry without using Cloak).

BTW: I did try to play this as best as I could, with the lights off, at 10pm, with the sound up loud, I just couldn't get any fear out of it.

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

10pm?

Try four in the morning after a day of work - the tiredness jacks everything up like ten notches.

>_>

I would bet on the fact that this game plays PRACTICLY IDENTICLY to Red Faction 2. RANDOM MECH ZOMG, wait a second, I did this in RF2 as well.... And things that are SUPPOSED to be scary are running around, but Im not afraid... Oh and after the 'scary' portion, you run into a bad ass sequence of more troops and have a kick ass gun fight.

If you've played both, you'll understand EXACTLY what I mean.
