Well i got DW6(dynasty warriors 6) for PC, and I've played DW4 before, many people who've been long time fans of DW say DW6 isn't as well made as the others, if theirs any DW players/fans here please give me feedback, I think DW6 is quite fun though

I used to play DW3 or 4 (not sure wich one) at a friends house quite a lot some years ago and I've been looking forward to the PC version of DW6. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the controls, as it's the kind of game that seems easier with controllers than with mouse+keyboard.
Are there still a lot of characters that you can sort of level up and unlock new weapons for?

Played 3 Xtreme Legends and got instantly addicted, Got 3, 4, 4XL, 5 Empires, and now 6. Best Hack and slash ever, too bad there isnt an RPG like it XD

Yes there is over 10 characters per faction(not including "other") and you do NOT need a mouse you can set it all to keyboard, it's not quite hard after a stage or two you'll get to use it, and weapons theres a few kinds like "strength", "standard", "skill", and a few more but each weapon has one of these kinds and some effects so yes theres over thousands of weapons.

I feel like the game stopped getting better at DW3. There were only 3 things players wanted to improve DW3: 1) More displayable units on screen. 2) The ability to pick either side when playing 2 player on an epic battle map. 3) A guaranteed, at whatever cost, instead of aimless wandering for boxes.

Instead, the developer's went, "Oh man, lets make a new game with a ton of new characters and levels! Yeah, that's what people want!" or "Good news! We changed the combo system!" Now I'm sure they eventually did #2, and I hope they considered #3, but when they eventually made an Xbox360 version, it couldn't handle one more on-screen unit than the PS2 version! If that didn't open your eyes to the money scheme that is Dynasty Warriors nothing will.

I have DW4 on the PS2 and I liked using the edit mode to make kickass characters. I heard DW6 doesnt have edit mode or even bodyguards. Yeah, and the on-screen units problem is kinda stupid. So, I dunno if I should get it.

Yes in DW6 the player doesn't get "bodyguards" or lieutenants , but thier bringing back create an officer mode in DW6 empires i think, only DW4 had create an officer(i think)

There's supposed to be a DW6 Empires coming out on February! I just hope you can make custom characters on that one like in DW5: Empires n.n. If so that would be really epic! Just imagine defending Hu Lao Gate, Or Xia Pi, or perhaps sieging Xu Chang? *Or defending Xu Chang*

'Aight! I just read Thiefknights create an officer in DW6: Empires. That's really cool! I just hope their customization is much better then DW5. and hopefully for the love of god the customization won't be crap like in Samurai Warriors Empires. *It's bad, trust me. You can only change the colour of the officers.*

Aw well! Do you think DW6 will bring back Jiang Wei? Or perhaps give Zhang He his damn bloody claws back? Because honestly, A spear does NOT suit him. I mean, it doesn't have any grace, it doesn't have any elegance, particularly how he uses it. (Which doesn't make the situation any better.)

There are bringing back old characters and giving other characters new/old weapons, and yes Zhang He looks a lot more femish in DW6 and his claws was way better than that spear he has

For those curious about and rpg, there is a dynasty warriors mmo, called Dynasty Warriors BB (for Broadband), but now renamed Dynasty Warriors Online. Released 2006, for eastern asain countries only, such as Japan, China, etc.

Yes I've seen gameplays about the DW Online, it's like normal dynasty warriors, but you create a character, level up, choose a leader(Cao Cao, Lui Bei, Etc), but I can't read any Japanese, Etc, T.T
