I'm a bit bored and I want to watch something from the drama/thriller/action genres. If you have something in mind, make a suggestion, but please bear my preferences in mind: I do not consider all the 'Pirates of the Carribbean', 'Transporter', 'Fast & Furious' good drama/thriller/action movies. For me, a good thriller/drama/action movie is something like 'The Last King of Scotland', 'Memento', 'Se7en', 'Mystic River', 'American History X' or 'Heat'.
So, if you know of something that I might like, SHARE THE LOVE. Thanks.

"Witness" is good.
Hitchcock's classics are all good. I especially like Rear Window and Notorious
"Fresh" (1994) was excellent
Casablanca
I also highly recommend movies from the 1940s made in Italy (broadly termed as "Italian Neorealism"). "Open City," "Bicycle Thieves," "Umberto D," are all excellent choices. I think you might appreciate them.
Yeah, see the classics. All halfway descent movies stole pretty liberally from them.
Also, I have all of The Sopranos and The Shield episodes on DVD. You should check them out if you can. Best shows ever.
None.
I don't know if I'd be any good at this, but I'd say
A Beautiful Mind
Top Gun
Fight Club
Mad Max/Road Warrior
Escape from New York
and the Alien series all to be good movies, that I think you would like.

Dood:
I've seen quite a few classics ('Citizen Cane', 'Casablanca', 'Seven Samurai', 'M', 'Bridge on the River Kwai' off the top of my head), and unfortunately most of them lack something... maybe it's directional style or something; not sure what, but something just isn't there (it's not the action of special effects, obviously). I prefer classics from the 60-90s such as 'Apocalypse Now', 'Platoon', 'Dr. Strangelove' (though it's more of a dark comedy), 'The Good, the Bad, the Ugly' because for me, they have that something the earlier movies didn't have.
I'll check out the movies that I haven't seen, but I'm not really sure of the ones from the 1940s. But thanks a lot anyway. If something else comes into your mind, I'll gladly hear your opinion.
Hug A Zergling:
I've seen all of those.
But thanks for posting.

If you haven't seen Boondock Saints, see it. But I would find it hard to believe that you haven't seen it.
Yes, I have. Two times, and the second time I realized that it covers up directional flaws and so-so storytelling with fun, close-to life humor (remember the hooker's cat
) and amusing shootouts and action (like the toilet-dropping part). It essentially targets teenagers because of the topic it talks about and 'Snatch'-like cinematography and style, IMO. Good, pure fun, but one-time-use-only.
None.
I understand that Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is pretty good, I am sure it covers those three criteria.
While we are talking about CGI and video games; maybe checkout Resident Evil: Degeneration?

Is that something, "color"?

That's what I was going to say.
All be it a given that you will have seen many or all of these already, I'll list off some (also some don't necessarily fit the genre you asked for):
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2)
Raging Bull
The Deer Hunter
The Departed
Pulp Fiction
The Shining
The Silence of The Lambs
Matchstick Men
Crash
Million Dollar Baby
Taxi Driver
Amadeus
American Graffiti
That's it for now.
None.
Dapper, the only two movies that I haven't seen from your list are 'Matchstick Man' and 'American Graffiti', which I will look for tomorrow morning. Thanks.
None.
Wall-E, Iron Man, and The Incredibles. That's all you need.
None.
The Incredibles?
I'm not a big fan of animated family movies, but whatever.
Iron Man was nice.
Is Wall-E so popular because it's really something worth watching or because it's a movie for 14-year-olds with humor and a cute robot?
Can anyone share their opinion about WALL-E with me pelase?
None.
The Illuminator is such a great movie. If you want action + comedy, Tropic Thunder. I laughed my ass out.

I cried through the whole thing. It's good.

American Graffiti is supposed to be a great movie (you'll find it on top 100 movie of all time lists) but its not necessarily a favorite of mine. I think the only time I watched it was in school once. It's pretty good though. As for Matchstick Men, I'm more glad that I was able to recommend that one to you. I very much enjoy it and is actually part of my DVD collection.

Advent children is amazing, though you have to know the story or it doesn't really make sense.

My all time favorites:
Léon (The Professional)
City of God
And I've heard
Crank
would be a good movie, but I haven't seen it yet.
Other films I enjoyed but probably are too mainstream for you: (I've seen all of them more than once)
They (for the amazing ending)
Blow
Fight Club
From Dusk till dawn
Matrix Trilogy
Kill Bill
The Boondocks (I know it's already been mentioned)
