Ok, byond isn't that popular, but it has a great system.
Why do I say great you ask? Ooooh simply because you can
make pretty much anything. It has a simplified code (muhahahaha) that allows you to create games on their game engine, and then transmit them so other people can play them.
They even have a good few built in functions like a 'pay 2 play' type of function, in which players can pay to play (obviously) but sadly , they(Byond's creators) get a bit of the profits of your labor.
Im currently learning how to create games, but its not that simple. Its a bit more complex then starcraft triggers because you have to define objects beforehand. They have a few tutorials to get you started, but its not nearly enough in my opinion.

Hehe, true. You learn to play it if you play it enough. I can speed through many guys because i tap on the arrow keys alot, and how many times I want, I know it will land me. It does have alot of retarded clone games, but I don't like most of those anyways. I tend to stick to most of the RPGs (Most of the naruto etc. are labeled 'Anime' even if they are considered RPG). But its a great system to use.

If you can understand the BYOND code (an old friend of mine sent me the link and I checked it out) you'll be able to learn yourself C++ and do a way better job in game programming then using their pre-built engine that sucks...
