When I type my triggers in, they don't show up in the classic mission briefings. I know I typed them in correctly because I made a trigger with the regular trigger editor, then swapped to the text editor, changed a value, then double checked to see if the value changed in the classic editor. Is there something I'm supposed to do to keep the changes?
On a side note, can the new version of scmdraft create EUD's? Or can they just view them?
None.
I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
you can create some EUDs with the classic trigedit, but not with the text based trigedit.
Just type "UnitID:####".
you cannot enter more than 4 number chars :S
-> you cannot create farty's portrait changing triggers with scmdraft...
I already send an e-mail to suicidalinsanity and I hope he will do it (got no answer)

The text based briefing editor is not working.
When using the text based trigger editor make sure you hit the compile button before exiting. This is the small checkmark on the right of the toolbar.
Exactly 4 digits? It can't be more? Even with 4 digits it doesn't seem to work.
When I hit compile, it says:
Error at line 0: Started
Error at line 30: done!
None.

Make sure you have the latest version from Stormcoast Fortress: 0.8.0.0b
Only that one allows entry of EUDs and only in Classic. Watch upper/lower case.
Even though it says error the "type" of error (started/done) tells you everything worked. Try removing a semicolon or something to generate an error and you'll see the difference.
Player 1 has suffered at least 0 deaths of UnitID: 2540
Is that how it should be done? It doesn't work.
None.

I just checked it again.
you need to type "ID:####".
I'm able to create longer EUDs than ####, but I don't know how I can get the right one:
I'm typing ID:99999 and I get ID:34463.
I'm typing ID:-99999 and I get ID:31073.
uhm, I don't get it...

The reason it "changes" is because the number is restricted to an unsigned word (0 to 65535), so it does "Number % 65536" (% = modulo) to keep it in range.

Try removing the space and "Unit":
ID:2540And press enter after it. It won't input it if you just click outside.
Thanks, it works now. This topic can be locked.
