The Battle of Breach is an AoS map set in the StarCraft universe, on a (non-canon) planet known as Breach. The story is that a group of Raynor's Raiders and Protoss under Fenix detected a Zerg presence around a Khadyrian Crystal Formation. The Protoss and Terrans discover that they are using the crystals to introduce new mutations into their creatures and must destroy them. They must also defend a Warp Gate which is being used to summon reinforcements. Both teams have their own set of heroes. Each hero has four unique spells, three of which are available from the beginning and the fourth of which becomes available at level six. Spells are cast by building units at a Starport, with the Science Vessel for upgrading. Some spells use a Mind Control aiming system.

Here is the current list of characters. I will be adding more characters and taking suggestions, and probably changing some characters. Thanks to Pigy_G and stickynote for suggesting some of the characters.

Pigy_G and sticknote will be working on the terrain for this map.

NAME: Base unit (Role)
(Note that "role" is determined by a variety of means. "Support" indicates that the hero is best when combo'd with other heroes, while "Offensive" indicates that the hero is better used against single heroes with no backup [besides Creeps] on either side. "Warrior" indicates that the hero's spells are designed to make his combat abilities stronger, where "Spellcaster" indicates that the character is best when used at a range with Creeps/other heroes meatshielding him. "Skirmisher" is a special type of role that is best when he charges ahead of the rest of his team, harasses the enemy with spells/status effects, and then retreats. Skirmishers are always Support characters. Some characters have spells that don't exactly fit their role, but that's intentional. *points at Science Vessel*)

SHARP SHOOTER: Ghost (Support Warrior)


KAKARU'S EYE: Scout (Offensive Warrior)


DESTINY ARCHON: Archon (Offensive Warrior)


ZERG:

CORRUPTER: Mutalisk (Support Warrior/Spellcaster)


UBERLISK: Ultralisk (Offensive Warrior)


BROOD WARRIOR: Lurker (Support Warrior)


KERRIGAN'S THRONE: Queen (Support Spellcaster)

Looks fun. I think it's awesome that Raynor has 3 different forms.

But do you think we could finish up the BASW first? I think it has more potential (actually I don't really know what AoS is) and I thought that we might get it finished by December or January.

Edit: I don't want to spam your forum with another post that doesn't have anything to do with your map so...

Tunneling: Cloaked unit pushes the lurker forward?

No. Tunneling = teleportation.

Why do you say it was hard to read? I need to know so I can fix it...

And I've added a new character to the list, Temporal Templar. He's a support warrior/skirmisher.

SHARP SHOOTER
Perhaps use a form of ghost, any other unit could probably work as long as it's ranged though.

KEEN EYE/HIDDEN KNIFE

If used at knigth it acts like the Mutants ability in TS the ghost gains vision of the map.
If used during the day it creates a dt or other short ranged unit for a quick damaging attack.

FOCUS FIRE

Randomly selects one hero within range of the spell, Player alli's all other units and heros in the game and creates a number of damaging units for several shots each, that will only target the one player, Hence focus fire. The idea is to run away from this and not stand there and take pellets to the face. I didn't put what unit or the number to create, I'll leave that to you.

GETAWAY COPTER

Summons a shuttle or dropship. Comes with a smoke bomb that blinds all foes in range.

HEADSHOT

Creates one extremely powerful damaging unit for one shot., I recommend somthing with a normal class of attack so it will do equal damage to all, However you could balance it by making it have a different class and doing different damge to seperate heros.

Hope you like this idea. Also on a side note If you still need terrain help I could TRY to make somthing nice, I was thinking maybe have the terran/protoss base in some kind of mountain or hills where tanks could be of a big advantage... Idk

Two problems: I'm not doing a day/night system, and Metal Gear already has a "Summon Dropship" spell. I suppose I could put him in anyway, but if you have any ideas to replace Getaway Copter, that would be better. I'm not adding him to the list until I hear from you, so I don't end up messing him up like I did to your Queen.

And madroc, I can do BASW and this at the same time. Whenever I have enough time to do an assignment in BASW, I have time to work on this too.

Okay change it just to hidden knife then and not keen eye,

for the replacement... how about the smoke bomb thing? if you dont like that then I can just think of a completelty new spell its fine.

EDIT: oo I just thought of a nifty replacement

RAIL GUN

Activates a weapon of which distance means nothing, shoots 4 bolts of damage in four directions, Up down left and right. It damages only heros and has a cooldown of 5-10 seconds to prevent repetitive long distance killing, Great to end people running back to heal.

I'd think Rail Gun would be way to easy to abuse for experienced players and almost impossible to use for new players. I'll make it a medium-range attack spell that goes in four directions like you suggested, and also stuns the targets. Or summoning and Irradiated Scourge. Which one do you prefer?

Irraditation would only deal good damage if the heros have low hp or are forced to sit under It, I'd say deal damage and stun. But its your map so by all means go with the scrouge.

YES. My terraning looks like what you get if a Zergling rapes your computer.

If you want to get started now, go ahead. Both bases need all the structures shown in the screenshots (except the Hatcheries/Lairs/Hives, which are only there to make Creep) and three bridges to connect them to the lanes. Anything that's not part of the lanes or bases should be water or some other unwalkable terrain, to stop the Goliath from exiting his Dropship somewhere where he can get stuck. You should also leave enough space for six Bunkers out of the playing area (I'm using Bunkers to cast spells now instead of gateways) and the upgrade structures. (Just leave a large open area somewhere out of the playing field and I'll put in the Bunkers and upgrades.)

I don't think you can make hallucinated scarabs. You can't make aldarises thats for certain. I don't think you can make disruption webs either.

No, you can't create Aldarises, but you can preplace them and use Move Units. Seeing as they're invulnerable, I can just place some Aldaris units in an out-of-play area, then move them into play when I need them. When the spell ends, I just send them back to the out-of-play area.

Grey Templar aims his spells with D-Web, so I don't need to create them.

I'll test the Hallucination Scarabs now.

And no, I can't attach a map with the terrain, because I don't have any terrain done yet... I'm doing the triggers first.

I'd prefer it to be Twilight, but if Twilight's giving you grief we could do it on Ice or Jungle, or possibly Badlands.

Anyway, I just realized the Zerg don't have any hard-hitting brute force characters, besides Uberlisk. We need moar Zerg Offensive Warrior characters! I'm working on an Infested Duran character, but I would prefer to add one more offensive warrior to the Zerg side besides him.

Here are some random spells you could use.

BLINDNESS

Using a spray of acid (Scantids) the player casts a spell which temporairly blinds all enemies within spell range.


TELE-ALLI

Randomly selects an alli, or you find a way to select. Then teleports them there.

DUDE, WTF?

Enemie heros unalli eachother and are ordered with hypers to attack to eachothers location.

VORTEX

Using protoss blue or karaku explosions, A vortex is created over the hero, Draining the mana of any heros he comes into contact with and killing Creep units, (The normal spawny unit things)

POWER OF PRAYER

Like the goons meditation ability, When Power of Prayer is cast the hero is immobilized and cannot attack. It's up to his alli's to protect him, He cannot cast this spell in his base. If he can pray for 30 seconds without dying then he becomes supercharged or somthing for a set amount of time. OR you could have it so the longer he prays without being interuppted the more mana or the longer the effect of invinicibility is or somthing.. Idk

BLOOD BROTHER

Perhaps best for the zerg team.

A player is selected at random or you find some way to make the selection and that player gains 2500 HP, however the player who cast it is set to 5% HP, Cannot be casted in base.

MASS INFESTESTATION

All Creep units near the hero are transfered to the zerg team. They are "Infested"

A suggestion for your post (rather than the map), can you please color the Hero's names in the collapse box? It's easier on the eyes than a solid wall of white text.

Another hero suggestion, for the zerg, since they have less heroes.
Mutilator
The unit is a zergling. I'm surprised it hasn't been used yet. It is a base killing hero. It should have less than average life, but high armor. It has low damage, but has the attack speed increase upgraded, but the the movement speed upgrade disabled. This allows it to do well against creeps and towers, but not so much against heroes. Fortunately, its spells will help with that.

Blink Strike
It instantly teleports to the nearest enemy hero (within range). It does extra damage for one strike. The damage and range increase per level. The damage shouldn't be too much extra; just enough to give it a slight advantage if it is used enough times.

Wear Away
A charm is cast on the nearest enemy structure. Whenever this hero kills a creep/hero, a small amount of damage is done to that building. There can only be one Wear Away on at a time; recasting will replace the old one. Damage and duration increase per level. The duration should be pretty long; at least a minute.

Disable
All buildings and creep on the other team do not attack your team for a short period of time (5 seconds, maybe) The duration increases per level. This is intended to be his bread and butter spell to destroy defensive structures.

Redirect
All creeps currently in the arena swap sides. After a period of time, which increases per level, your side stops producing creeps for a while, which decreases per level.

EDIT: Damn, Piggy beat me on that last one. Got it in while I was typing....
