I posted a thread in a freaking music forum... got no replies whatsoever.
Let's post it in like, the exact opposite type of forum and see how many replies we can get...

For V2: Shit's trippy. At points like around 1:20 it gets a bit hectic with all the cymbals for me, but I guess that's what you were going for with some of this. I really liked the beginning... and I really liked the ending. The cymbals very often didn't work for me. I feel like for much of the piece they weren't contributing very well and were more just making noise.
Then there's V1, which I listened to secondly, and apparently it lacks cymbals. I like it better but I think you should try to find an intermediate point between the two pieces as far as cymbals go to get a better overall piece... best of best worlds type of deal. All in all, I like it.
None.
What were you going for when you were writing it? I'm not quite sure what to think of it.
Simply isn't my style. Idk i'm just not into instrumentals.
None.
I liked the minimalist arrangement of the piece, although it needed more variation in timbre and/or range.
Also, I didn't like the addition of cymbals, or rather they were far to loud and in the way.
None.
Update: version 3.
I've read all of your posts, and I can respond to most of them.
-To Dapperdan: What's balance? (I'm not very good at this "composing" thing, haha; I've still yet to learn a lot like balance; I couldn't think of a way to put in the "drum set" MIDI in, so v3 has none.)
-To Debardus: I'm not completely sure, though I was inspired to write and finish
something after I heard a sneak preview for WoW: Wrath of the Lich King, and that music sounded a little hollow, or icy, so I was compelled to incorporate that style into this with the cymbals. One in particular.
-To Jello-Jigglers: Ah well. D:
-To Rantent: I have one other piece that's lifeless, although I have one other that has some good variation (IMO).
As for the cymbals; I'm using Finale NotePad 2008, and it won't let me set dynamics for each individual instrument. I don't know how to get the strings to "pluck" either.
I liked it, but I honestly couldn't tell you any specific differences between v3 and v1 myself. Maybe if I listened to them back to back I could.
None.
There were times it seemed like an electronic piano playing a set background tune while a little chilld bangs on random keys (mostly towards the end).
But I wasn't really paying attention.
