Sorry for the inarticulate title, I wanted to fit all of that in, but there is a limit after all =X
Lets get the bad news out of the way first -
When pressed for a release date, Frank Pearce confirmed that we wouldn't see Starcraft 2 on the shelves in 2008. We also didn't hear anything about a possible beta in 2008 either. I think we can rest assured that we won't see beta until 2009.
This year? Like, 2008? Too much work to do... We don’t have a specific release date in mind yet. We still have too much work to do.
I don't think anybody is going to be suprised by this, because they aren't even the Beta Phase yet, but I'm still pretty sad.
SourceNow the interesting stuff -
Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce reckons you might be getting a fourth StarCraft II race “in the event” of an expansion to the RTS sequel. “We don’t have the resources or time to add a fourth race to the launch of StarCraft II, but I’m sure in the event that we decide to do an expansion set it’s a feature that’ll come up for discussion,” the company boss told VG247. StarCraft II will feature the three races from the first game - the Terrans, the Zerg and the Protoss - but a fourth had been considered early on in development. “We talked about the possibility of a fourth race early on, but we felt like we had a finite amount of great ideas and wanted to make sure we focused all the cool, best ideas on the existing three races rather than diluting those ideas across four races,” Pearce added. StarCraft II currently has no release date, but is looking likely for 2009.
So I guess this means the Starcraft Story wont be wrapped up in Starcraft 2, interesing. I wonder if this race would be the Hybrids, or something completely new.

None.
Good finds. My guess is that we'll know if there'll be a fourth race based on the way the campaign goes in SCII.
But it'd be a LONG, LONG, LONG way off
Maybe a cyborg race. That would be cool. Like the Terran were experimenting with new technology and it turned against them!
None.
Obviously it will be the Hybrids or possibly the Xel Naga.
None.
There isn't going to be one in multiplayer so who cares. It will be naga in sc2.
None.
The Naga from WarCraft III is pretty much incomplete, but nonetheless has a big advantage in water maps.
The new race in the "Expansion" would probably be the Xel'Naga with the "Hybrids" as their units of offense.
None.
The Xel'Naga and the Hybrids were two completely different factions (based on the majority of the info we have now, and the shitload of campaigns at CampaignCreations.Org).
None.
Looks like DTBK won't be eating his socks anytime soon, then, eh?
None.

I know that. Apparently, Hybrids will be loyal to the Xel'Naga.

Why would he eat his socks?
None.
He said he would eat his socks if SC2 ever came out or something like that.
None.
He said he would eat his socks if SC2 came out within the next 3 years, and that was in December '05 or '06, wasn't it?
None.
I think if anything, with Kerrigan being all mysterious and what not, the zerg will run rampant, some kind of cerebrate or overmind will take some power and break off from the Zerg Swarm, Kerrigan going completely off the trot by this, decides to abandon the Zerg Swarm in pursuit of true power. Using the power of the Xel'Naga she will create an army of infestations (Units of the protoss and Terran infested or even Zerg race, modified) She will then be looking to defeat the Zerg Army and get revenge for her overthrow, initially succeed, but with the Terran and Protoss fighting against the Zerg and now Kerrigans army, she will find herself in a very sticky sitatuation, ultimately leaving SC2: Expansion set at a stalemate and leaving room for a potential SC3 if Blizzard ever so desired to continue the series.

What? In Brood War, she wanted the Second Overmind killed so that she has full control of the Swarm... if Kerrigan did left the Zerg behind, the Zerg would end up in utter chaos just like how the first Overmind was killed by Tassadar, the Zerg on Aiur went on aggressive.
Duran is what is behind the Xel'Naga and the Hybrids, whom will Kerrigan will finally know he is backstabbing her if unveiled in StarCraft II. I doubt Kerrigan would just 'abandon' the Zerg for 'greater power'.
None.
her control/influence power is very weak(*you* are the only celebrate she was able to have influence over) so I don't understand how she can be controlling the entire swarm.
"Well it's easy with over other celebrate dead"
That's another thing! If the fucking OVERMIND couldn't control the swarm by himself and needed tons of help from celebrates, how the hell can the much weaker kerrigan do it with just one!
Kerrigan has ubermagiccontrolpowers?
It's sci-fi fantasy, who knows.
None.
If she could get the overmind killed then she is stronger.
Their we go, a close minded "don't ask about it" way to look at it

Tassadar killed the overmind.
No, just a couple of celebrates trying to fuse to become one.
