I know this is a SC site, and that D3 was just revealed, and that SC2 will be out sooner, yada yada yada.
Judging from what blizzard has shown us, which one looks better right now.

IMHO, both look the same. But since I'm a SC fan, I go with SC2.

I plan on getting both, but if I could only choose one it would be SC2.

layin' in the cut

Diablo III, but both look amazing. In D3 I loved those physics, with the wall crushing guys and making them fall off the edge... and that epic boss battle. It looks fantastic. And I really like the art, no matter what all the retarded petitioners who want dark, 0gamma environments say.

SC2 looks a bit to "generic not revolutionary amazing like original sc was that is just a clone of whatever other rts is now on the market"-ish to me. It has too many intricacies that take away from the "easy to learn, hard to master" concept that was starcraft, now relying on special abilities rather than attacks and micro.

The same 'physics' in D3 was shown in Starcraft 2 when it was first showed.

Starcraft looks better, but I don't care about looks. I do, after all, play Starcraft still today.

It has the same physics engine but not the same physics. It just doesn't compare to some of the awesome stuff in D3, like enemies climbing walls... and this!!: Look at this shit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQMBIRipp5A (5:56, 6:20, etc etc)

Same engine = same physics. Just because you don't see shit like that in SC2 doesn't mean it can't happen. In other words *COUGH MAP EDITOR COUGH*.

Also, I do have the high resolution copy of that video, you don't have to link me to some shitty quality youtube vid. :/

heh, so do I - but I didn't know if you did :P however your argument about the physics is wrong - http://www.havok.com/content/blogcategory/29/73/ all those have the same engine, does that make the physics in bioshock the same as smash bros brawl? no.

Which looks better? StarCraft II because since it has that gritty look since March. :P

starcraft2 ftw. So far sc1 is the only big blizzard game without a sequel (besides an expansion) and even today it still remains one of the greatest games of all time.

Yes it does. If you put the same scenario in Bioshock and in Brawl, they will do the exact same thing. This is true for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2.

So wait, in SC2 you could effectively recreate the whole D3 game with combined modding and mapping powahs?

Yes, lets compare a first person shooter with a side scrolling fighting game.

Hell, you could create a FPS game using WC3.

SC2 will too much be like WoW, which I HATE :S

D3. Starcraft 2 is much like WC3 like people said. It is also too bubbly. The ghost was my favorite unit but I can't notice it anymore :-( . At least D3 actually did an actual change in graphics instead of copying its previous games.
