The Future Prison

Prologue: In the year 2308, the United Residence Bureaucracy or URB, designated the city of New Lost Angels as the first city fully run by crime. Jokingly, a past Mayor of the city said that they would eventually wall up this city, isolate itself, becoming the home to all sorts of crime. This joke was called The Future Prison across the internet, people saying it's the greatest idea since sliced bread. URB took this joke and made it reality, as giant barricades were placed around the city and the world's over populated prisons were lightened as they threw life-terms and death row convicts within its walls. Guard jobs at Lost Lives Lockup were deemed inhumane by URB after a large riot took place but a year after the prison was established and they sealed up all openings within the barricades. Large automated batteries were set-up around the perimeter of the city to ensure the conviction of the city's occupance. After a few years, the city became self-sufficient. Laws were eventually made by the URB, but they were basic and considered very-unrestricting. They were three put in place: One, the city's occupance are to never leave it's walls. Two, all children born within the walls are, sadly, issued a life-sentence at birth. Thirdly, the creation of large scale weaponry within the city's walls is considered an act of war.

Story: You and otheres were charged for armed robbery half-way across the world, but that matters little. All the convictions of crime now-a-days end up with one possible outcome: Isolation from the sane world, meaning a one-way ticket to the only prison in the world, if thats what you want to call it. Time to start a new life... In this life's take on Hell.

Features:
Integrated Weapon System --Sounds cool huh? All the weapons in the game have nothing at all to do with your unit... nothing. You buy them, you switch between them, you carry them around in your inventory and you even have to carry ammo for them in there too.
Advanced Inventory Options --You will be spending alot of time fiddling with your inventory, seeing as everything that you ever carry is displayed there. If you don't have enough room for it in there, then you just aren't going to be carrying it.
Immersive Environment --Stuff looks cool. And most of it has an effect or two on gameplay.
Upgradable Items --If you will be touching it more than once, you can make it better.

Screenshots: Patience. I want perfection for these.

Progress: When there is some, I will let you know. Just Kidding, so far I am working on the Weapons System and Inventory set-up, which has been difficult seeing as my fiance' is super sexy and takes up a lot of my time, if you get my drift.

PMS: We are the Capitalizationally-Challenged members of Oo, so fear us as such. Oh, and by the way, Clan Oo is better than you. Ask anyone, excluding devilesk, as his opinion aren't valid. You most likely know by now that I am a laziest mapper around. IcY has been doing a knock-up job of keeping me to my word that I would finish this project.

Perhaps, for the lulz, you should actually get a map done before announcing it, to save our poor little excitement nerves. Also, not announcing it would probably make you want to finish it more, as you wouldn't get all the hype spent before completion.

But I love creating false hope >:D

Tell us more. Who are the heroes? What are they doing and why? More specifications on the systems you posted.

Players will be URB technicians that gotta repair something? Victims of an error and will have to get out of there alive? etc...

That last one you said, payne, was pretty good. I think that they did build large scale weaponry, meaning war, which = conflict, which = storyline.

The story will be good, I promise. I just want it be one of those "revealed as you go" kind of things. I really need my laptop to get back from it's manufacturer so I can start jamming, but I am sadly restricted on this weak 256mb desktop

As for who the heroes are, they are newly thrown in convicts.

You are aware that screen shots of any sort are required so as to prove that these "maps in production" are more than simply an idea you happened to have.

I want some proof that this is real.

When EFoG redoes the starting terrain for a second time, you will have just that. If you want me to give some random screenshots of the old terrain, I feel that it would belittle what people see it as right now.

I can't wait to test it out, if I am allowed to do such an act, seeing that I am from Dyne and all.

Its all about the hype...

Hype is good. It gives you a good name to begin with, and if you succeed, even better results. Let the man keep doing what hes doing. By the way, nice sounding story indeed.

Lovel has a habit of making hype and then just halting.

I think a lot of us are Hyped out.
