www.starcraft2.com
And yeah, I expected the mothership to have no voice or be like a man's voice but instead it's a woman. Anyways what do you think would win? Couple of Thors or One Mothership. Oh yeah, on the picture, I noticed there was 2 motherships from the same player. Didn't they say you can only make on per player?

I heard some rumors about the Mothership getting nerfed since the gameplay demo, and I'm happy that some of the rumors turned out to be false. The Time Bomb ability is going to be more useful now that it is targetable, and while the Planet Cracker isn't as cool looking as it used to be, it still looks powerful. Cloaking field is meh in my opinion (I'd rather have the immensely broken Black Hole, thank you), but the ability to have multiple motherships on the field is simply awesome. Independence Day, anyone? Mass Motherships = Instant Win?

I expected a woman, oh, and I think the mothership would win against thors, can they even attack air?

multiple motherships...talk about retarded

they're supposed to be the highest tier of command, so there would only ever exist a need for only one per battle.

not to mention it ruins the uniqueness of the unit...now its just...boring

when the gameplay vid first came out they said u can get a mothership only once a battle...but they changed that apperently....so far the unit looks horrible rigged....hoepfully terran and zerg will get their own superpowered unit....i tdoubt that unit would be the thor for terran because the special abilities on the mother ship are far more powerful than the special ability of the thor

Multiple motherships are definitely killable. Just have to micro your units correctly and avoid its attacks.

The motherships IMO do not look like they are anywhere near the destructive power of the thor. Instead they have multiple homing missiles that track several enemies, if you look closely it takes about 4-5 missiles to kill an scv. Although the planet cracker might be strong it requires the mothership to go into close proximity to its target, which is pretty bad for the mothership :)

If you can use timebomb to successfully take out all SCVs/Drones/Probes in the area that would be cool.

Relatively ancient and inactive

More then two motherships are unneeded in an army. They require a lot of attention and are thus detrimental rather than helpful en masse. Plenty of counters - they're slow ships, remember?

Imagine making a map and putting 100 motherships at your disposal hehehe that would be lethal but I hope the combined effects don't crash the game.

Framerate slowdown, massive lag, etc. I can see it happening in those epic battles where both sides are ridiculously rich.

My instincts tell me we're going to see a bit of tweaking once the game is out. If it isn't good enough, you KNOW Blizzard will beef it up a little bit.

Nah, because people with slow computers won't be able to play the game in the first place :P

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
