Battle Defense

Overview:

In most defense maps you work together with your teammates to achieve a common goal. Don't let any enemies through your defenses. In most cases there will be someone new in the game that doesn't know what he's doing and can ruin it for everyone else. In some cases, your on your own when it comes to defending. It's simple really, kill more enemies than the other players. But thats all about to change. In Battle Defense, not only are the players going to not help you defend, but they will be doing everything they can to make sure that the enemy makes it through your defense. While defending their own area, they will have the option of destroying your precious buildings, stealing your most expensive hero, or challenging your skill as a defense player for money, lives, or even... death.

Choose Your Weapon

Bunkers: Two marines in each bunker. Three damage each. Fast Attack. Cost 2 Minerals. Max 50 Bunkers.
Photon Cannons: Six Damage. Slow Attack. Cost 1 Mineral. No Max.

Destroy Your Opponents!

All players will have the option of directly sabotaging their opponents defenses. They will also have various other "Battle" options that can be used if the right amount of "Battle Tokens" (Gas) is obtained. Here is a list of the "Battle" options.

Destroy One Bunker [3 BT]: Destroys ONE bunker from a player of your choice.

Destroy Two Photon Cannons [3 BT]: Destroys TWO photon cannons from a player of your choice.

Steal One Hero [10 BT]: Steals One Hero from a player of your choice.

Disable Options [3 BT]: Disable lights and battle options for one turn.

Disable Building [3 BT]: Disable building for one turn.

Attack Player (Tanks) [5 BT]: Sends tanks to your opponents defense. These tanks must be destroyed within the time limit or the player will lose lives. The strength of the tanks are determined by what level the players are currently on. (Cannot be used during a wave.)

Attack Player (Zerglings) [5 BT] Sends zerglings to your opponents defense. These Zerglings must be destroyed within the time limit or the player will lose lives. The strength of the zerglings are determined by what level the playes are currently on. (Cannot be used during a wave.)

Challenge Player For 20 Minerals [4 BT]: Starts a challenge mode between you and a player of your choice. Each player will have a constant stream of units to defend from. After thirty seconds the player with the most kills wins. 20 Minerals is taken from the loser and given to the winner. (Cannot be used during a wave.)

Challenge Player For Life [7 BT]: Starts a challenge mode between you and a player of your choice. Each player will have a constant stream of units to defend from. After thirty seconds the player with the most kills wins. One life is taken from the loser and given to the winner. (Cannot be used during a wave.)

Challenge Player For Death [12 BT]: Starts a challenge mode between you and a player of your choice. Each player will have a constant stream of units to defend from. After thirty seconds the player with the most kills wins. The loser is removed from the game. (Cannot be used during a wave.)


Other Options:

Players will also be able to buy hero's. Additionally, players can convert minerals into gas (at the rate of 5/1 or 20/5). The host of the game will also have a choice between a Free For All Match, or a Top VS Bottom game.


Beta Information:

Please note that this is a Beta version. While the map is completed, there may be bugs and other problems. If you encounter such a problem please post here. Also, balancing may need to be slightly adjusted, if you have any suggestions post them here.

Known Issues:
-Possible problem when two players use Challenge at the Exact Same Time.
-Possible problem when two players use Attack at the Exact Same Time.
-During FFA matches the last playing standing does not have a victory action.
-If you make it past level 25, sudden death is not activated and the game loops continually.
-Its possible that some battle actions may not subtract the correct amount of battle tokens.
-You can challenge for minerals even if you and your opponent do not have enough to stake.
-You can build during a mineral challenge.
-Problem with late game challenging causing zerglings to have much more health than the tanks.

I am unaware of such a problem. Unless you are referring to the "Choose A Player" loop you encountered. If thats the case, I have seen no evidence of this problem and have been unable to recreate it despite many tests. I wasn't actually in the game when you said it happened so there is really little I can do unless you can tell me exactly what happened when you experienced the bug.

Bug: My friend challenged me for death. I got tanks with around 500 hp and he got zerglings with full health (8k).

Thanks for reporting this problem.

Tank and Zergling HP is based on the level you are currently on. Do you remember what level (wave) you were on when this happend? (AKA the last wave before the challenge was initiated.)

The type of unit you get also reflects the weapon you chose at the begining of the game. You were bunkers, and your friend was cannons right?

Yea, i was bunkers and he was cannons. I can't remember exactly which lv it was, but it was after the second boss.
