Your estimate is idiotic. Iam telling you this because the statistics you made up isn't an estimate. Theres a big difference between random numbers and logical reasoning through realistic calculations. You are out of your expertise. Don't make up statistics. It's a dumb way to argue for a random guy thats not a scientist sitting infront of his computer.

On another news, magnets can be created using superconducing coils. And everybody knows if enough power is supplied through the coils, it can generate a powerful enough magnetic field to shield against radiation. Thats what Hat meant if you're out of context. It doesn't need to be as big as our Earth's core. Just powerful enough so that it keeps hazardous radiation out of the hollowed out piece of metal.

THink about it. Can we HUMANS survive at this time of age in Cyrogenic Sleep, no, why? ITS NOT INVENTED (or maybe it is, Ill have to look that up). But the chances of a human surviving on such unrealistic levels of radition are unimaginable. Perhaps you do what Hat said and create a giant magnet (somehow...) and it works. Now you have to move that magnet there and hope that the moon orbits well enough that that magnet does not get pulled into orbit by Jupiter. And even before that, HOW DO you get a magnet that big to revolve around a moon?
Humans don't need to be in a cryogenic sleep to go anywhere from Earth to inside solar system. It doesn't take a hundred years. Not only that you are out of expertise, you are definately out of context too.

Won't work with any hollowed out piece of metal that you're going to get it to move around. Lead is way too heavy for that.

Isn't there a topic for this already?

Anyway, Cryogenic sleep is 100% BS. It's a science fiction concept, nothing more.

Water also works as a radiation shield.

Water's also too heavy. Any material capable of stopping radiation is too heavy to transport it around.
If we ever colonize another planet, there will be two "Earth" days?

Screw water and lead, use a giant magnet I mentioned earlier.
And there probably won't be two "Earth" days. There will be an Earth day and a [Put planet's name here] Day.

Since natural magnets of giant size is almost impossible to manufacture (with a favorable strength), a strong magnetic field can be generated through a series of superconducting coils.

It'd require a lot of energy to create those strong magnetic fields. Probably a nuclear plant would supply it.

It would take next to no energy to keep a current going through superconducting coils. Also, given high temperature superconductors, it might not take a lot of energy to keep them down while in space either.

The question is not the energy loss of putting a current through a series of superconducting coils. It's a question if the magnetic fields generated by the coils are strong enough to block out hazardous radiations. Since I have made an assumption that superconducting coils exist, I will also assume Fusion reactors of somekind exist also.

Superconductors do exist, but they function at next to 0K. I think the latest high temperature superconductors actually go up to 30K. That probably wouldn't be too hard to maintain while in space. It's doubtful that you could replicate the Earth's magnetic field though (but I wouldn't know anything about that).
On the other hand, fusion reactors do not actually exist in any practical or usable form.

I think the best we could hope for is for there to be intelligent life there capable of communicating.
It just sounds so romantic. 2 worlds too far apart to ever physically meet, but advanced enough to send transmissions that take almost 5 years to reach. We'd be dying to learn more and more about each other, almost like high schoolers texting each other wanting to express so much more than their shitty 1-9abc interface limits them to. Best love story evar.
