Even the case and DVD drive? That's all that's really reusable, anyway. And maybe the PSU, but you might want to go with a new one anyway.

Well, it might be a piece of trash, but you could save money if you reused stuff such as your CD Drive, etc.
Not so sure if the case would support ATX motherboards.
Also, as far as high end graphics go.. what do you define as high end graphics?
This game will handle most games on low-er settings =\ depends on the game.
None.
Such as Rappelz and I want it to run smoothly on SC2
None.
Nobody really knows what SC2's system requirements are going to be, so nobody can guarentee SC2 will run on anything smoothly. Let me check the system requirements for Rappelz.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RappelzIs that the game you're talking about? You should be able to play it.
@Hawk: It'd be nice if you'd write down the names of what everything is, instead of just posting random links

It looks like it will run Rappelz alright.
As far as SC2 goes, who knows. =\
I have made 1000000000000000000 builds for echo before, he has not bought like one, can't blame me for being a bit lazy

I've got some advice. You may want to stick with the 200$ or so computer right now, and wait until Blizzard releases specs (or better yet, until the game is out and you can get player feedback). At that point buy what you need. It will definitely be slightly cheaper than if you bought it now, or if you decide to go for 2k, you'll get something that will last longer starting then.
Might be the best way to go. Main thing is, cheap computer sounds good if you don't plan on playing lots of games until SC2, that way you can be sure and not pay too much.

That's a far cry from my almost decade-old Dell. P3 @ 500Mhz, 128MB of RAM, and a 16 MB video card, I don't remember what it was. Basically, it had trouble surfing the web. Youtube was a little choppy.
EcHo, your best bet for running SC2 would be to wait until the system requirements are released, saving your money till then. By then, prices could drop and your budget could increase. The downside is that you'll be stuck with your piece of crap system for quite awhile.

My current machine costed me 1860 total (including tax) minus bells and whistles I got a few days ago.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.
