Got a new
Bfg Nvidia Geforce 6200 OCabout a month ago, saw that it had an S-Video port and Ive been planning to hook it up to the Tv some day, so I want to be sure about everything instead of winging it.
First of all, can I use the TV as my primary monitor, or do I also have to hook up my computer monitor?
Do I just hook it up to the Tv as if it were the monitor and turn the computer on?
My TV
None.
One of the video mode things should be the the computer input. Look for that.
You don't need the monitor at all, but you should just use it. I am pretty sure that the computer doesn't really recognize the television as a monitor? My tv may not be the same as yours function-wise.
None.
Quick question, Do computer games such as counter-strike source look good on non-HDTV's?
None.
Most comp moniters are worse quality than standerd tv's today. And if you're playing Counter Strike why would you even worry? xD

Lawls. Counter-Strike admittedly doesn't have great graphics, but it's still fun. Especially if you could play it on a FLAT SCREEN HD-TV... TV...!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! THE BLOOD-CURDLING ACTION ON A REALLY BIG SCREEN!!! (And blood-spilling.)
None.
I said Counter-Strike:
SOURCE, you guys probably thought i meant 1.6. Source's graphics are great.
None.
It will probably be better than your computer monitor then.
None.

Uhh, what? No they aren't.
Stop spewing wrong information.

I also want to try dual screening with 2
computer monitors. How does that work and what are the advantages of having two screens?

If you set it up right, it will be like an extended monitor. You can use both screens together. I am not 100% on this, but if you go to Control Panel > Display Settings > Settings you will see a check box that says "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor."

Please, flame on, but I don't live where you do. Base your judgement on location, not inteliect.
But on a more serious note. Who buys a TV today that isn't at least flat? I know the HDs and Plasma's are really all the rave currently, but at least flat, they aren't that expensive.
Now Computer moniters, some companies still try to sell the big ol' bulky type, and sometimes a flat panal with some pretty bad resolution.
Ever see a square monitor? They look retarded, yet thats all that seams to be sold out here.

I'd rather get a HD-LCD computer monitor, they look really nice.
