Im working on a new defense for a type of stacked cannons. Only I want it so you dont have to turn off vision to stack them, so Im trying to make the cannons completely invisible the way you would with a bunker full of rines. Obviously I tried doing it the same way as you would with a bunker but to no avail that didnt work. Ive tried some other methods like the disable enable enable.. method but all that did was cloak, disable the cannon firing function, and made it into a detector, and if u only disable it then you get a non detector and just disabled

Idk if anyone has ever done this or not but something in my head says its possible and so Im just checking to see if anyone has any theories on how to do this.

I don't think it is possible. You'd need to turn off vision, cannons don't keep firing like bunkers would.

Nope, the reason it works with bunkers, is because a sprite of the units inside the bunker is left behind when you move it, cannons don't have such a sprite, so it cannot leave it behind.

Rember this: Bunkers are disabled before they are removed. SHould you disable a cannon it would not work.
You could try preplacing cannons and having the user select them though...
