Yeah, I've already seen it several times within an hour of the original post. I wonder why this only came up recently since he's been warranted for arrest since 2005. I also find it odd that he wants to establish a theocratic government (through murder, mind you) based on the ten commandments, when they state thou shall not murder.

1,840,000 views!! Daaaamn. If this shows nothing else at all, then it most certainly shows how easy it is to get massive support for a worthy cause by just creating a video with nice special effects.

However, as much as I love seeing the world united together, most people are just blindly throwing their support in without really learning about the cause. The video was great and all but... take a look at this.

Not to mention 6.9 million views on the one uploaded on Vimeo, which seems to be the one I'm seeing spread more.

I'm going to move this to Lite Discussion in case an actual discussion about the cause or the man takes place. With that, let's keep responses on topic.

Take notice of what? Logical fallacies and conservative drivel?

Yeah, let's back off and see what happens. If you look at Kony's track record, this is his strategy. He backs off, accepts peace talks, and as soon as the pressure is off he goes right back to pillaging. Sorry no, we shouldn't have to fall for his shit anymore.

Oh, and as far as I'm concerned. Abduct one child, and peace talks are off. The line has been crossed and there isn't any coming back. Justice should be hard and swift.

The Ugandan army pillages and rapes just like the LRA. No side is innocent here and I'm not taking one side over the other but people should do research before they blindly support a cause.

Side? I'm on the side of justice. Uganda will have to answer to its crimes as well.

Ok Superman but the main goal of IC is to fund the Ugandan army.

+1 respect

And it's not gonna be easy getting rid of the LRA. Killing Kony is the first step, but all his other right hand men need to be taken out in one fell swoop or they will just replace him. And we can't just exterminate his army, since it's made up of the very people we want to save - abducted children. And even if we do effectively cut the head off the LRA snake, what do we do with his followers? Most of them won't be able to successfully integrate back into the society that knows what they've done. All they know is war.

You should read this book. It's about Sierra Leone rather than Uganda or the Congo, but they have similar issues.

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

Wait so you guys are supporting the idea of the USA going and invading another country, as they have done previously (confederate america, korea vietnam iraq etc.) or the UN, even when it is not their country nor their business? I haven't finished watching the video but unless this Kony's army has invaded the USA then it is not the responsibility nor the right of the USA to invade another country to prevent evil, especially as they often cause more harm than good in doing so.

Red classic.

Well, we already sent 100 (armed) soldiers to train the Ugandan army, but not to fight unless in self-defense. You have to realize history repeats itself but this time it's actually the will of the people, and not to fight communism or whatever.
