Location Error

Ok so I finally came accros an error that people have been telling me about in one of my maps. All of the errors are linked to a specific Location.

Is it possible for a location to just break down in a map and stop moving?

My reason for thinking this might be the case is that, the location is only moved during ONE trigger. I dont have it being moved anywhere else. Yet other factors in the trigger is still working, ie giving gas to players. This trigger works perfectly fine in the begginning of the game but part way through the game on very rare cases, it will stop working. as soon as it stops working, it wont work for the remainder of the game. I checked that i am not using the same death counter more than once. This is happening for 2 of my locations in this game and today was the first time ive actually seen it happen in person, not in replays.

Any ideas?

Not so much "break down"; like programming, triggers do exactly what you tell them to. It is possible for a location to become detached from a particular unit, a problem that prevents every unit from having an LID.

If the trigger is still active, you may want to double check the conditions to ensure that under all circumstances it will be turned off.

Its in the Temple Siege Map. When it happens, It only effects Medic L3, Medic L4, and Warrior L3. But when it happens, ALL 3 are effected, not just 1. I have no clue why the 3 of them are linked, because none of them use the same death counter or locations. As you know, the defiler is what is used to calculate wether or not the hero is in the location range, I was able to test other spells such as medic L2 (Disable) and it still worked on enemies. So the problem isnt the defilers. Medic L2 also uses a different location than Medic L3, and L4 which use the same location.

Edit: I was able to tell that the trigger still worked because the Medic L2 still gave +50 gas to all allies that arent in range of the location, BUT even if heroes are standing right next to the medic, they will recieve the +50 gas??? Also with Medic L4, its still giving itself the Full Heal because it is part of the main trigger because detecting if the medic is in range of itself is just silly :><:

TS's systems are old and somewhat inefficient. It's no surprise these are glitching, I've have observed this problem many a time and still haven't determined a particular cause, though I have some inklings, if you could upload the replays when this happens I could figure out more.

Where is the location when it glitches?

If the location is on the center of the map, it is somehow being centered incorrectly on a non-existent unit.

The Location is centered on lets say the Medic (Kerri Ghost), When they use a spell. So its always pulled from wherever the Medic Used its Level 4 Spell Last and centered on its current position. I actually didnt think to test the last spot that it did work to see if the location was just sitting there. I dont think the problem is with a non existing unit that its being centered on because If the player didnt have the hero, they would be eliminated from the match.

Get location hack, run the replay. You should be able to see locations pop around the map; when it doesn't pop for medic, check the very center of the map and see if an appropriately sized location is there; if so the location is trying to centre on a unit which isn't there (assuming locations behave like I remember). Alternatively, look where the medic last casted its l4; the lpcation should be at one of those three places.

ah that would be perfect, is there a file on sen that i can be directed to that allows me to check the locations on a replay? i tried looking around and didnt see anything. if not, do u know the name of one to use?

Edit Again: Well i used the program and watched a replay of one of the broken TS games. The locations seem to continue to center over the units correctly. Its obviously not a location error, which leaves me back to the only evidence i have... The only thing that they have in common is that Warrior L3, Medic L3 & L4 are the only problems, and when one of them have a problem, they all will. None of them use the same Death Counter either. For more details, The Stunning death counters are completly seperate from the healing death counters as well as the Medic L3 which gives more gas. All are seperate but for some odd reason they all link together..

Any other ideas?
