Nooo-ho-ho-hooo. Most atheists do not want to further the misguided impression that religion is even needed in today's society for anything, and thus would not go. But instead go to other venues that offer the same experience minus the religious drivel and pressure to convert (though I concede some religious events are far more subtle at this than others).
Any beneficial service it provides can be provided just as easily elsewhere, minus all the fictional nonsense.
The only thing religion CAN give that no other method can give is a belief in the existence of an afterlife. But this is a false hope. And I pity the humans who claim they need this false hope to have meaningful lives.

Sorry Oh_Man, it doesn't matter how "right" or "wrong" someone is to you, they're still allowed to feel however they want.
Happy in a lie? There is only truth. Denying it to feel happy is described by psychologists as pathological.
Or perhaps I shouldn't care; I mean really does it mater if they're exhibiting neurosis? I suppose it shouldn't, save neurosis does affect me and my quest for truth and virtuous achievement. In a democracy rule where the majority are deluded, I am subject to their tyranny of ignorance. Decisions are made by the uneducated and by the scientifically illiterate.
It's not so much a matter of converting anyone to atheism. I couldn't care less if any individual participates in willful delusion; but when they come forward denying global warming, immunology, and evolution, I have a very big problem with it.
Or maybe I am extremely bothered that 40% of the country I live in cannot even accept the true age of the Earth.
