HYPERMAFIA

Since people have decided to take an interest in playing Mafia again, I thought I'd might host my own. Thankfully, I have experience in the subject because I've played EpicMafia for several months and haved hosted private Mafia games on Facebook since January.

Hypermafia will be played in 24 hour turns in EpicMafia style. No clues will be given, but roles WILL be revealed upon death. I will also display the setup prior to game start. I will use the roles in EpicMafia and will balance accordingly (there won't be lylo until day 2 at least).

If you haven't played Mafia before, or can't check the thread every day, please do not join. I only want active players, not inactive power roles that unbalance and ultimately ruin the game.

So if you have the time and want to have fun, sign up! The game will start Tuesday, June 22nd at 9 p.m. EST.

Possible Roles (exact numbers will be based on the amount of players):
Townsperson
Miller
Doctor
Bodyguard
Vigilante
Bulletproof
Tracker
Watcher
Cop
Bomb
Oracle
Mafia
Hooker
Godfather

Players:
1. YOU!!!

Win by luck, lose by skill.

OK, me too. But you're going to have to explain some of the roles that I've never heard of:

Tracker
Miller
Watcher
Bomb
Oracle
Hooker
Godfather

Is there a mayor and how are we going to play without clues?

None.

I don't think we need more than one mafia topic at a time; if I let this slide, I foresee other members creating similar threads. I'm going to lock this but if you PM me when the other mafia is over, I'll reopen it for you.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
