Yo, Darknessmanlol here!

Im looking for some people to help me with making a map, or even making a team for the start of a new Series!

Now, once in a great great while, I go on B.Net and see maybe One AvP Map. And its HORRIBLE. Like, Plain out HORRIBLE. So, I got the idea to make a brand new Game! I dont care whether we make it something like AvP Arena, or AvP Rpg, or even AvP Style Starcraft! I just want some help with coding this right, mapping, and maybe even some balences

Basic Setup is already thought up for each, even with each team having their respective races.
Zerg - Xenomorphs
Protoss - Predators
Terran - Humans

Zerg Unit Names
Zergling - Quadrupedal (Dog) Xenomorph
Hydralisk - Drone Xenomorph (known to spit acid, so yea)
Drone - Face Hugger
Broodling - Chest Burster
Ultralisk - Warrior Xenomorph
Devouring One - Praetorian (Royal Guard) Xenomorph
Torrasque - Xenomorph Queen (No Ovipositor)
Hunter Killer - (Need a good name, Ment to be a Pre-Queen)
Lurker - Predalien (Heh)

Protoss Unit Names
Zealot - Unblooded Yautja
Dragoon - Blooded Yautja (Has the plasma cannon on shoulder, which is why dragoon)
Tassadar - Retirees Yautja (No Illusions)
Dark Templar - Bad Blood Yautja (able to escape heavy justice, so cloaked is coolio in the stoolio)
Hero Dark Templar - Blooded Yautja (Cloaked)
Zeratul - Clan Leader Yautja
Dark Archon - Adjudicator Yautja (No MC)
Archon - Huntsmaster Yautja

Terran Unit Names
Marine - Marine (LOL)
Firebat - Marine w/ Flamethrower
Stukov - Sniper (No cloak)
Vulture - LRV w/ Grenade Launcher
Seige Tank - LR-41 Scorpio Tank (No Seige)
Edmund Duke - Mobile Artillery / A-89R Artillery Unit (0 attack as normal tank)
Goliath - Prototype Battle Armor
Alan - Loader (0 Attk)
Ghost - Sniper w/ Laser Targeting (No Lockdown, gets 1 nuke)
Duran - Human General (gets cloak and lockdown)
Raynor - Force Recon (Guard Duran)

Thats all the names set for them. If anyone has any questions, I WILL be checking this a lot, So please reply!

Err I'm not really sure what you're getting at.. Is there a certain genre you intend to make with this map? AoS, RPG, RP. blahblahblah?

And yeahh, what you plan to do with your ideas might motivate people to try and volunteer to help. .

WELL.... I Was gonna let people who volunteer decide that.. But, seeing as how I wont be able to do that the best... I want to make something like a arena type thing. Like, 1 people on each side. They make the units via the RPG like world Behind the arena to get the units to fight in the arena, to win. They would have 20 minutes to amass an army as quick as possible. To get the army, ya gotta follow certian guidelines to get the units.

For example, the Xenomorph Setup..

You start with 10 Facehugger eggs, mmk? They all hatch 1 by one for the next 5 minutes. Sort of a slow start, do ya think? WELP, it isnt. Why? The first Chestburster you get turns into the Queen, in which you will also make your hive with. Once you have the queen, some buildings would be unlocked in the outside, allowing the Drone to build up from the starting Creep Colony, to make the hive. Once you got 3 creep colonies made, the Queen would morph into the Ovi Queen, in which many drones will spawn quickly.

In the RPG world for the Xenomorphs, there will be a few human militaries, and MANY civilians. Move the facehugger to the Civilian, attack it once, and you automaticly get a chest burster (would only work on NPC units, and Marines on Humans, to give kinda an edge in the arena) and the chest bursters would then morph randomly into things. Get some Dog Xenomorphs, some Drones, some Warriors, all keep morphing until the 20 minutes are up. All of Xenomorphs units are automaticly teleported, and sent into the arena. All Warrior, Drones, and Facehuggers become the computers and fight for you, while you use the Queen (Hero) to spawn more facehuggers, to get a small edge. But, when someone gets close, She will morph back into the Ultralisk for the rest of the game, and you have your Hero.

The Humans one would be to just Mine Minerals as fast as you can, and spawn units via Buildings. When you spawn a ghost, it turns into Stukov, so on and so forth. When you get in Arena, you get your Human General, 1 Nuker, and 4 Navy SEALS, and your ready to fight.

However, for the Humans still, in thier rpg world, they have to get civilians to join them. They just sent Recruiter and every civilian takes off 1 supply on your already filled supply, to allow you another unit.

NOW comes the Fabled Predators. You have the Least amount of units, the Aliens easily overwhelming you with numbers, same with humans. You Start with 48 Unblooded Zealots, and you use the RPG world, filled with hives and such, to make them Blooded, Clan Leaders, so on and so forth. All THIS will be updated just a bit more, when Im not so lazy as to post info on here.

That is my Idea SO FAR. Its still in development, and I could use Ideas from AvP Lovers

There's no bumping allowed here.
SEALs don't belong in an AvP map because the only humans involved are Marines, which do not have any SEALs in them.

And I want to slap you in the face because you come to SEN all arrogant and wanting people to do all the work for you! You haven't even decided what genre you want this map to be. Stop being lazy and do the damn work yourself.

Most of us are eccentric, we don't work well in teams.

Lol, I worked on many team projects and tested many maps in my day its just the new guys that came to sen (and old that came back) that are eccentric...
Instead of teamwork making your own version of a map is a popular method *cough* desert strike queen... *cough* Temple siege
but as long as peoples work ethics are similar its mmk i suppose ?

Anywho, what do you want your crack team of guys to do... if you want to attract more attention you have to put up more specifics on what your team has to be

but the more people the harder to coordinate your team... Usually 3 - 4 people for a large project or 2 very skilled people but i do agree that you being lazy won't attract much people to help you...

Do it yourself. Teams fail. Productivity falls below snorlax levels.

Seems like a simple map you should probably just do it yourself but sticky you are right, most projects i do with other people get bored mid way through and go nuts to this, however I did finish a few nicely done projects... It just depends on the complexity of the map... such as rpgs... since most of these maps get canceled due to one lazy guy but the same thing can be said for myself since i've tried to make over 6 rpgs and failed miserably becuase I usually get major glitches with triggering but if i had someone with good triggering skills i could probaly finish one of my rpgs so it works both ways.

Darknessmanlol. just a tip for the map, if you do the xeno random unit thing, it wont work too well. it might work for a while, but the random triggers arre going to just make it whoever is the luckiest person in the game. ive run int o a lot of problems with that before. just thought you should know.

kk, well I was popping off the fly when i said SEALs, so eya taht was dumb on my part..

And as for that, im not looking for some people to do all the work. im learning for this, and iw as thinking for the Team part, that we would use the observer programs, where you can see and work on other peoples computer from yours, so on and so forth. but, that obviously wont work, so for the past few weeks i have been teaching myself how to do this. kthx. Oh and btw, i decided to make it a RPG. Possibly a 3 parter kinda like the AvP games.

Up to 3 players in the Marine Story. So that I make it seema bit more realistic on it and im not copying from the game entirely. go through your base, find out Xeno infection. Move through, and exterminate Xeno hive eventually. Even have to go through some Preds. Xeno side is single player, cause your an Epic Xeno.. start off as super raagile facehugger, and have to become chest, run and find food as chest, then kill off untis using hit and run tactics. In this, you would be the one to stop the 3 marines from exterminating Hive. One the Rines are dead, move through and eliminate forces ofHuman and pred, to clear a path for the Xenos. Complete and utter Ambush, go into an epic cpu vs cpu fight and you can help, then end as Predators leave. Pred Side.. still thinking about that..

yea, i know of those.. i am a fan of RPGs but not a fan of random system...
