I want to look at some LOST episodes my friend copied on some DVDs.
All of his Discs are successfully read by my computer except the one for the first episodes of the first season (fml!).
Why doesn't my computer read the video files when I insert the CD? It appears as an empty DVD when I try to look into the driver's content from the explorer
None.
It's scratched or wasn't made properly.
"Parliamentary inquiry, Mr. Chairman - do we have to call the Gentleman a gentleman if he's not one?"
How to know if the DVD wasn't made properly?
None.
Relatively ancient and inactive
They don't play. Lol.
None.
We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
What Centreri meant is, they don't play even in other otherwise perfectly working drives of other computers.
And if you bought that shit I think you can send it back and get a new one. Works for games at least.
Personally I wouldn't bother. Just "acquire" the missing episodes from the Internet.

Those are burned DVDs
And the episodes on the Interwebz have -crappy- resolution and the sound is delayed from the video... A real pain!
None.
Is it the same type of disc as the others? If not, that one could be incompatible with your drive. If it is the same type, either it got scratched or didn't get burned properly.
None.
