Relatively ancient and inactive

I recently got my Sony Vaio Z (And lurv it). The one thing at this point that I like about my family's macbooks over lappy is that they have nice things that can be done with the trackpad, like dragging down with two fingers to scroll down and pinching to zoom and stuff. Are there any weird drivers or programs anyone knows that can emulate this behavior on a non-Mac?

None.

multitouch is part of the trackpad itself. Mac has all the patents to it, just like IBM has all the patents to the trackpoint, so you're left with shit.

My asus has multitouch, but it's pretty terrible because it's elantech (just try googling their name and you'll see why) and the drivers are terrible, not to mention windows fails miserably at scrolling. Linux does a much better job, but I'm having trouble customizing it to properly left/right/middle click.

If it is a Synaptics trackpad, you could try this: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?p=44505922#post44505922

It is, and I actually already played around with the settings and figured it out. It can scroll, rotate images and zoom. Not quite as smooth as that of a macbook, but very close. I'm a happy camper. Slightly different from the one in your link - my scrolling is dragging one finger across the right edge of touchpad, instead of doing it with two fingers.

I'm surprised and happy this has finally happened. The Synaptic drivers are usually much better than any other drivers (my elantech works with synaptic drivers).

Synaptics drivers provide me with the ability to rotate images (start in top-left of trackpad and rotate counterclockwise) and sliding to the next image (two-fingers swiped left or right), which works in Windows Image Viewer. I recently started playing around with old photos that I never did anything with before, and looked for an alternative viewer, and Picasa is awesome, being faster and looking much nicer. However, it looks like the drivers don't work on Picasa. Is there any way I can make them apply to Picasa or add commands some other way?
