I've seen some strange user names over the years and it makes me wonder - where the hell did this person get this user name from?

I got mine from seeing some guy with Inferno in his name when I was watching my brother play Starcraft, and I thought it sounded pretty cool (I was about 8 at the time) but Inferno was taken so I just stuck lil- in front of it because, well, I was little.

So, SENners, where did your user name come from?

Back in those heady days of 1997 on the internet, I went by 'MrUnknown' because no one knew who I was. Then I grew up a bit and changed to Ace Rimmer ("what a guy!"). Then I figured I needed something a bit more original, so grabbed a dictionary and looked for a word that sounded cool, and found Lanthanide. Been using it since '99 or so.

I signed up to Battle.net when I was around 11 or 12. Couldn't think of anything better, so I tried using my first name, "Ez". Too short, so I added my last name, making "EzDay".
Got my account stolen or forgot my password later, used EzDay2 for several years. Signed up on SEN as such.
Some time later, changed from "2" to "281" since that was my original member ID.

Early starcraft days my first account was slice99 then I went to slice98 then FierceMapMaker and now just Fierce

In between all of that there were clans that I were in.. Oo, [V]erged, [MM], etc..

My previous name (TassadarZeratul) came from the non-canon hero Archon Tassadar/Zeratul, of course. My current one, I don't remember.

I am more of a person filled with prejudices. I rise these "walls" around me, and I choose who can walk through them. I know it sounds stupid and exagerated, but that is kind of the way I am. I usually repell most kinds of people, since... Well, as I said, I am a person filled with prejudices. I still manage to be open minded as long as the other person has a good argument, though.

When i was like, 8 and made my first SC id, i made shredder.

Changed it to ShredderIV when shredder was taken on bnet, and I've always pronounced it Shredder-eye-vee, not shredder 4.

Now your name reminds me of HIV.

This name was spontaneous. Tried not to use anything corny like my previous accounts. The ) in LoTu)S was just for fanciness.

I used to be Jammed but then decided to change my name. So I asked DEAD a.k.a Gigins whether I should change my name to KoFFee and he said something like "lol, JaFFee", so I just simplified that. Believe it or not, I did not know of the existence of jaffa cakes back then, I thought of it as a wierd version of Jeff.

And then there is Jefafa.
