OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Here's are some simple templates for anyone looking to make a Map Production thread but can't figure out an interesting way to convey information about their map.

As a side note, screenshots are a big part of Production threads. Adding screenshots usually shows that your map is well under way, not just another spur-of-the-moment idea for a map which may never see day light in reality. In short, screenshots can mean the difference between a topic that gets attention and one that gets none. Don't just get a picture of a minimap view of the terrain, either; use the PrintScreen key to get some good shots of actual gameplay when you're testing out your map.




MAP NAME
Brief description about the map. If this map is an RPG, perhaps include some backstory. If its a Defense, maybe include a brief description of what we'll see in the map that makes it spectacular.


SPECIFICATIONS
  • Players
    Requires 3 players or 2-4 or whatever you want.
  • Map Tileset
    Badlands or Jungle, etc.
  • Map Size
    20x12 or 128x128 and so on.


STORYLINE/INTRODUCTION
What would your Players do in this game? Are they ultimately trying to kill some final boss, or attempting to survive for 30 levels of fun?


FEATURES
  • Player interface (How will the Players play the game?)
  • What's new in your map that others have not done before?


DETAILS (for RPGs and the like)
  • Characters
    ĽAlt-7 for bullet

  • Weapons
    ĽAlt-7 for bullet

  • Items
    ĽAlt-7 for bullet

  • Spells
    ĽAlt-7 for bullet


SCREENSHOTS/DEMO (Use Imageshack, TinyPic, PhotoBucket, or Picoodle to host screenshots, if you need a dedicated image host)

well I might have found 1 bug for them to fix - some maps load on 32 bit, but not on 64 bit game version

martosss shouted: jjf28 OK, I have 1 more question - are you using 32 bit SC:R or 64 bit ? In game settings there's an option to switch to 32, is it checked? I just tried hosting the map with 64-bit SC:R and it failed... I ticked the option to use 32 bit SC:R => it worked and map was hosted. So I guess the issue still exists for 64 bit SC:R ? I also tried calling a friend and he couldn't see the map when he entered the lobby. Weird, I might have to report this to Blizzard?
