Can I change the colors for players 9-12 in SCMDraft?
None.
If you give a unit to P9-P12 they will retain the color from the player that it was given to from even though they will show up as their P9-P12 color on the minimap. For example, a P1 unit given to P9 will be red on the screen and green on the minimap. But no, you can't change P9-P12 colors using any editor.
None.
I'm pretty sure StarForge can do it.

StarForge
looks like it can do it, but it cannot, the players retain the same default color, but you can always do as fritfrat said and give their units to other players, then give them back, since they are just like player 12 in how they retain the color, but they do not retain the alliances like player 12 does.

Correction... Starforge CAN do it, however if your map was saved in SCMDraft first, not gonna happen.

Show us a map with it done and we will talk until then you don't know what you are talking about.

Yeah... quit telling us SF CAN, but show us HOW TO!!! Saying "I know a secret but I won't tell it to anyone" doesn't help us.
Hmm apparently you can't do it outright, however u can use the give/giveback method stated above.
None.
It's obviously not possible when in the scenario.chk there's only byte values for
8 PLAYERS.
None.
Okay, it's not possible, but they can retain colors from other player's units given to them, leave it at that.

Even though Kellimus made the first ignorant reply, it could have been any one of the other people who responded later with the same ignorance that could started it. It's a snowball effect. It only takes one person to question something and then everyone else will reply with their own belief while no one knows what they're talking about.
