XD!! They're making a Golden Compass movie, and Mrs. Coulter is going to be played by Nicole Kidman. How perfect is that?!? Has anyone at least read the series, or the book? I'm stoked. It was my favorite series when I was in middle school (Amber Spyglass came out when I was in 7th grade), and is far superior to Harry Potter, for so many reasons.

Last year I read every one of the series, it rocked...but I see the movie going like the Artimes Fowl movie is.

As soon as I saw the armored polar bear and the video game, I decided that it would be bad.

I read like half the third book, realized it was the third book, went wtf?! and stuffed it away, never to be seen or heard from again.
The movie looks pretty sweet though, with the polar bears and blimps and such. Alexandre Desplat Better do a epic job though, or else... |

Amber Spyglass was a sucky book. I hated it. Why did they have to get back together like that...why?!?

What? The two main characters ultimately end up parting ways and never meet again.
Cerealously, get some memory lessons. |

I knew you were a zombie, I just knew it! I am not going to see this movie, cuz it's only in in theaters because of LOTR, Harry Potter, Eragon, Narnia and the likes. Studios think: People will pay to see giant digital animals/monsters in a fantasy setting. Whatever soul the book may have had is probably lost on the strict impersonal professionalism of Hollywood crews. |

/Agree. I haven't read the book. I never heard of it rly, untill I saw the trailer of the movie in the cinema. I don't expect much of this, seeing Narnia wasn't that great. (Almost offended someone before editting) |

I'd have to say Narnia was beautifully done on screen, and Narnia was done years ago on a made-for-tv special.
