I just saw the preview for a news report about this movie, its so funny they are calling it the new Da Vinci Code.

Anyone else think these extremists are a little too extreme? I mean, ITS JUST A BOOK!!!

Haha new Da Vinchi Code, all that means is a good book turned into a bad movie! I heard a thing on the news and they were like "new flop from Nicole Kidman, people on the set are saying her new movie the Golden Compass is no good blah blah" she has been in a string of bad movies lately.

Sorry I can't cite it, but the Catholic Church is SERIOUSLY against the movie because they apparently kill god at the end? Iono you guys would know more about that more than me, but I think its hilarious they care enough to protest the movie just because the author is an Aethiest.

I saw the movie yesterday and let me let you something, by how the storyline ended there will be another one. Then completely cut the ending right off and didn't think twice about it. It was a pretty good movie, even though the action could have been a bit better, but for the most part the movie is good. Give it about 1-2 years and you will see "The Golden Compass 2"

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
