Ahli -- *match their signature :S
[2018-2-03. : 4:44 pm]
Ahli -- it can also happen if your download is corrupted. I had it yesterday evening after clearing the cache. 2 jars did not match their dependency. Worked after redownloading those. =/
[2018-2-03. : 4:37 pm]
jjf28 -- Ahli
Ahli shouted: oh, and I love it when maven's downloads are corrupted and you manually have to remove the file and manually trigger the thing again. I wish it would verify after the download and try a second time if its signature doesn't match.
that happens at my work a lot when someone doesn't change the POM version
[2018-2-03. : 4:29 pm]
Ahli -- oh, and I love it when maven's downloads are corrupted and you manually have to remove the file and manually trigger the thing again. I wish it would verify after the download and try a second time if its signature doesn't match.
[2018-2-03. : 4:25 pm]
Ahli -- mature versions get better, but then they release a new one because the next java update arrived... then it's hell again. Developping web apps with wildfly was fun. Things kept corrupting itself and something always did not run properly on someone's laptop.
[2018-2-03. : 4:24 pm]
Moose -- Wasn't Java terrible in 2004? Java 1.5 only came out that year.
[2018-2-03. : 4:21 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- I remember eclipse being terrible back in 2004 .... I would have expected it to either die off or get better
[2018-2-03. : 4:11 pm]
lil-Inferno -- no one should be using Eclipse in 2018 imo
[2018-2-03. : 4:11 pm]
lil-Inferno -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: IntelliJ is better
+
[2018-2-03. : 3:34 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Especially for things like std::sort, std::lower_bound, etc
[2018-2-03. : 3:34 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- C++ lamdas are awesome.... somebody wouldn't like the scmdraft sourcecode :P
[2018-2-03. : 3:21 pm]
Ahli -- or is there a nightly build, hmm
[2018-2-03. : 3:21 pm]
Dem0n -- IntelliJ is better
[2018-2-03. : 3:19 pm]
Ahli -- I wish Eclipse wouldn't be so broken with Java 9. Mature faster! I wish there was a nightly build... it's only that the error markers are broken. Half of the source code is red, but has no errors in the problems tab and runs fine. The markers have tooltips like it doesn't know what class a String is.
[2018-2-03. : 3:06 pm]
Dem0n -- Or wait, is that the only time they're useful? lmao
[2018-2-03. : 2:55 pm]
Dem0n -- They help a lot when you're implementing anonymous interfaces. Can reduce the number of lines written from like 5 to 1.
[2018-2-03. : 2:44 pm]
Ahli -- I dislike them in Java... I avoided them in C#, too... however, there are examples where they are useful, e.g. lazy logging in Java using log4j.
[2018-2-03. : 2:10 pm]
Moose -- Though I will admit it looks cryptic and weird AF until you get used to them, even in Java
[2018-2-03. : 2:09 pm]
Moose -- Like square brackets not even for arrays and all this shit going on, on top of all of the messy-looking pointers and references already. These examples using three types of brackets, oh my.
[2018-2-03. : 2:06 pm]
Moose -- Java lambdas are pretty readable. Looking at C++, they're a mess (but I'd say the language is a mess anyway C|X^D )
[2018-2-03. : 2:06 pm]
jjf28 -- java, c++, rarely I'll throw something together in c#
[2018-2-03. : 2:04 pm]
Moose -- Or are you just using C++?
[2018-2-03. : 1:58 pm]
jjf28 -- can be very useful if you want to prove something and conciseness becomes incredibly important but... I wouldn't want to use it in my programs
[2018-2-03. : 1:54 pm]
jjf28 -- the performance hit needs to be countered by a uptick in readability and ease of management, but as it stands the code seems consistently harder to read, so it's just an exercise in code golf
[2018-2-03. : 1:49 pm]
Corbo -- Lots of new tech in them also
[2018-2-03. : 1:49 pm]
Corbo -- Lambdas were cool af
[2018-2-03. : 1:44 pm]
jjf28 -- I'm not a fan of Lambda's, at least with their current implementation
[2018-2-03. : 1:25 pm]
Moose -- Lambdas? Yes pls
[2018-2-03. : 11:23 am]
jjf28 -- lambos? pass
[2018-2-03. : 7:11 am]
Jack -- thx
[2018-2-03. : 7:10 am]
Voyager7456 -- "Folder already exists."
[2018-2-03. : 5:57 am]
Jack -- tell me if it errors and if so what the error is
[2018-2-03. : 5:57 am]
Jack -- anyone wanna go to thishttp://www.staredit.net/messages/createfolder/ and create a folder called test?
[2018-2-03. : 5:51 am]
Jack -- jjf driving lambos
[2018-2-03. : 1:36 am]
jjf28 -- course that's because I had to throw a now-deductible 24k down a hole at some point but w/e :wob:
[2018-2-03. : 1:24 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- Not bad
[2018-2-03. : 1:03 am]
jjf28 -- oh damn, my tax refund should be in the $3500 area
[2018-2-03. : 12:39 am]
lil-Inferno -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Disarm the bomb and kill the 2000 people yourself.
EZ EXP
[2018-2-03. : 12:39 am]
lil-Inferno -- ayy Nude where you at
[2018-2-02. : 11:58 pm]
DarkenedFantasies -- bitch slap the bomb and blow 2,000 disarmed people as punishment :fear:
[2018-2-02. : 11:40 pm]
Moose -- Disarm the bomb and kill the 2000 people yourself.
[2018-2-02. : 11:20 pm]
KrayZee -- Video game choice: Blow up ship and kill 2,000 innocent people... or disarm the bomb and get bitch slapped as punishment? Which is worse?
[2018-2-02. : 11:17 pm]
Lanthanide -- Desert Strike Night Remastered: http://www.staredit.net/topic/17548
[2018-2-02. : 9:37 pm]
Vrael -- in the words of weird al - be mellow when you're dead
[2018-2-02. : 8:07 pm]
zsnakezz -- but there is probably a reason people didn't make the maps i made lmao
[2018-2-02. : 8:06 pm]
zsnakezz -- like a mix between a traditional undead map where you stand in place, but have to venture out and kill buildings to win
[2018-2-02. : 8:05 pm]
zsnakezz -- just wanted to throw some shit in there that nobody did yet, mostly hybrid maps
[2018-2-02. : 8:05 pm]
zsnakezz -- plays*
[2018-2-02. : 8:05 pm]
zsnakezz -- i just wanted to subvert what was there. everyone players tower d or poker d, or nexus wars
[2018-2-02. : 7:48 pm]
Pr0nogo -- searching for what other people like is a good way to make stuff you despise
[2018-2-02. : 7:29 pm]
lil-Inferno -- people here used to make the most boring maps and then got mad that no one plays them LMAO
[2018-2-02. : 7:28 pm]
lil-Inferno -- that sounds boring
[2018-2-02. : 7:19 pm]
zsnakezz -- people seem to like simple ideas that can't get fucked up
[2018-2-02. : 7:18 pm]
zsnakezz -- would rather just do a new map tbh, something simple, like a zergling deathmatch maze with items you can use by burrowing or some shit
[2018-2-02. : 7:13 pm]
zsnakezz -- maybe eventually if i'm interested like i was when i would get high af
[2018-2-02. : 7:12 pm]
zsnakezz -- i have not touched starcraft 1 since ive gotten sober
[2018-2-02. : 7:08 pm]
Corbo -- maybe you should redo your maps while sober.
[2018-2-02. : 7:07 pm]
Corbo -- ya sober is good af. For each day I get drunk I spend a full minute being sober
[2018-2-02. : 6:59 pm]
zsnakezz -- spend 3 years drinking every night, and one week off, should achieve long life lol
[2018-2-02. : 6:56 pm]
zsnakezz -- its been a learning experience for sure
[2018-2-02. : 6:56 pm]
zsnakezz -- and yeah it is good, i found pleasure in things i could only do while intoxicated, more focus, can spend more time doing one thing at a time
[2018-2-02. : 6:55 pm]
Vrael -- sober is good man, gotta have balance
[2018-2-02. : 6:55 pm]
zsnakezz -- either way, i still acknowledge how hilarious you have been all these years. like a jackle to my hide or whatever the fuck
[2018-2-02. : 6:54 pm]
zsnakezz -- ive been sober for 2 weeks, life is very bland right now
[2018-2-02. : 6:53 pm]
Corbo -- is it me or is snake actually making sense right now? Like his sentences are actually legible and... make sense lmao
[2018-2-02. : 6:52 pm]
zsnakezz -- eyes even better imo
[2018-2-02. : 6:52 pm]
Corbo -- drink it to the eye imo
[2018-2-02. : 6:52 pm]
zsnakezz -- naw, i only get embarrassed when people purposely poke holes like a retard in an otherwise well balanced and thought out experience
[2018-2-02. : 6:52 pm]
Vrael -- one could, afterall, be confused by drinking it 'to the butthole', which can also get you drunk
[2018-2-02. : 6:51 pm]
Vrael -- 'and drink it to the face' my new favorite saying
