[2014-10-03. : 9:25 pm]
MasterJohnny -- a masters is 2 years if you go full time 3 classes a semester
[2014-10-03. : 9:25 pm]
sigsaucy -- a masters should only take 2 years, im sure you'll be fine as long as you work hard
[2014-10-03. : 9:24 pm]
MasterJohnny -- i just dont want to be in grad school for another 4 years
[2014-10-03. : 9:24 pm]
Wing Zero -- Wohoo landed safetly
[2014-10-03. : 9:24 pm]
MasterJohnny -- no not really
[2014-10-03. : 9:23 pm]
sigsaucy -- do you have a prelim to worry about?
[2014-10-03. : 9:23 pm]
sigsaucy -- last or 2nd to last
[2014-10-03. : 9:23 pm]
MasterJohnny -- is this your last year?
[2014-10-03. : 9:23 pm]
MasterJohnny -- damn 5 years of grad school
[2014-10-03. : 9:22 pm]
sigsaucy -- i wouldnt be too discouraged, im starting my 5th year and i still have imposter syndrome
[2014-10-03. : 9:22 pm]
MasterJohnny -- i spent last year retaking stuff
[2014-10-03. : 9:22 pm]
MasterJohnny -- this is technically my first year
[2014-10-03. : 9:21 pm]
sigsaucy -- what year are you in?
[2014-10-03. : 9:20 pm]
MasterJohnny -- i expect the class average to be like 60%
[2014-10-03. : 9:19 pm]
MasterJohnny -- No I have no idea how everyone else did but i think they did better than me
[2014-10-03. : 9:18 pm]
Moose -- If you do relatively well, you might get scaled up :P
[2014-10-03. : 9:18 pm]
Moose -- Yeah
[2014-10-03. : 9:17 pm]
jjf28 -- sounds like he hasn't gotten his score yet
[2014-10-03. : 9:17 pm]
Moose -- Do you know how well the rest of the class did?
[2014-10-03. : 9:14 pm]
MasterJohnny -- but its like I feel like i should just do grad school slow as possible and finish in 4 years
[2014-10-03. : 9:14 pm]
MasterJohnny -- I can still drop the class
[2014-10-03. : 9:13 pm]
MasterJohnny -- im pretty sure i got like 30% or less
[2014-10-03. : 9:13 pm]
MasterJohnny -- i bombed my algebra test
[2014-10-03. : 9:12 pm]
Moose -- Why are you failing? Stop failing
[2014-10-03. : 9:11 pm]
MasterJohnny -- im failing grad school like super hard
[2014-10-03. : 9:11 pm]
MasterJohnny -- man im depressed
[2014-10-03. : 8:59 pm]
jjf28 -- obv this isn't a release version but if you want to use the gridder now you'll need it: http://puu.sh/bY2b7/5b9547f858.zip
[2014-10-03. : 8:34 pm]
jjf28 -- wewt, working again http://puu.sh/bY0tw/01fe9e0382.png
[2014-10-03. : 8:32 pm]
jjf28 -- I thought I had a nice play on ambiguity :P
[2014-10-03. : 8:31 pm]
jjf28 -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: debuggers debug the debuggers
debuggers (people) debug the debuggers (mechanical) :moose:
[2014-10-03. : 8:30 pm]
jjf28 -- in this case the debugging function was PrintError, and the accompanying macro CHKD_ERR; PrintError was using sprintf with an argument list (illegal), when it needed to be vsprintf; the macro also used a function that apparently needed to be declared with the keyword 'extern' since it refers outside the cpp file's directory
[2014-10-03. : 8:30 pm]
Roy -- I was distracted by an unfamiliar term, though.
[2014-10-03. : 8:29 pm]
Roy -- Which is surprising, because I'm usually being a wise guy at this time of day.
[2014-10-03. : 8:29 pm]
Moose -- Damn, the one time I drop my bomb, you're not being a wise guy.
[2014-10-03. : 8:27 pm]
Roy -- I was asking what debugging functions are.
[2014-10-03. : 8:27 pm]
Roy -- Having a buggy debugger would be possibly the worst thing to ever deal with in programming.
[2014-10-03. : 8:27 pm]
Moose -- You guys must be fun at parties.
[2014-10-03. : 8:26 pm]
jjf28 -- debuggers debug the debuggers
[2014-10-03. : 8:26 pm]
Roy -- Debugging functions?
[2014-10-03. : 8:18 pm]
Moose -- Who watches the watchmen? -> What debugs the debuggers?
[2014-10-03. : 8:17 pm]
jjf28 -- don't you hate it when there's an error in your debugging functions?
[2014-10-03. : 7:50 pm]
Gigins -- lil-Inferno
lil-Inferno shouted: Are you Roman Bellic?
I had a lot of drinks but I'm straight sober :D
[2014-10-03. : 7:49 pm]
lil-Inferno -- start out with that, rather, and then just converse organically from there
[2014-10-03. : 7:41 pm]
lil-Inferno -- You should do prank calls on your channel and say, "Cousin! It is your cousin! Do you want to go bowling?"
[2014-10-03. : 7:41 pm]
lil-Inferno -- Are you Roman Bellic?
[2014-10-03. : 7:16 pm]
Gigins -- Back from hell, took some jokes with me, enjoy! http://youtu.be/2F3bdZJQNwE
[2014-10-03. : 5:35 pm]
sigsaucy -- well chkdraft worked fine for copying and pasting so tis ok
[2014-10-03. : 5:24 pm]
jjf28 -- mostly built it as an example plugin
[2014-10-03. : 5:23 pm]
jjf28 -- h/o it's not working right now apparently, it was supposed to run while you have a map open in chkdraft
[2014-10-03. : 5:22 pm]
Wing Zero -- its only for the weekend but its better then nothing haha
[2014-10-03. : 5:22 pm]
sigsaucy -- is there some sort of readme anywhere?
[2014-10-03. : 5:22 pm]
Wing Zero -- Yeahh on my way to Florida finally
[2014-10-03. : 5:22 pm]
sigsaucy -- am i supposed to run unit gridder through chkdraft? or use it independently?
[2014-10-03. : 5:22 pm]
jjf28 -- woops
[2014-10-03. : 5:19 pm]
jjf28 -- you can also arrange them in perfect rectangular shapes with the unit gridder :P
[2014-10-03. : 5:19 pm]
jjf28 -- yea
[2014-10-03. : 5:19 pm]
Roy -- Pasting* extended units, right jjf?
[2014-10-03. : 5:18 pm]
Roy -- ChkDraft supports copy/passing
[2014-10-03. : 5:18 pm]
jjf28 -- try chkdraft, perhaps with the unit gridder plugin for stacking
[2014-10-03. : 5:17 pm]
Roy -- Oh, you mean ScmDraft is crashing. Yeah, that's a bug.
[2014-10-03. : 5:17 pm]
Roy -- It may be possible to stack certain extended units, sure, but it increases the instability of the exploit, as you can clearly see.
[2014-10-03. : 5:16 pm]
sigsaucy -- or do i just have to place them all one at a time manually
[2014-10-03. : 5:16 pm]
sigsaucy -- i sit possible to stack extended units? my editor keeps crashing when i try to copy and paste them and right clicking and using stack selected does nothing
[2014-10-03. : 5:15 pm]
Roy -- I'm just brainstorming for potentially running dozens of instances 24/7 on a server. I could throw each instance inside a VM if necessary.
[2014-10-03. : 5:15 pm]
jjf28 -- could try it after a few mods (it currently uses the window name Brood War for some things)
[2014-10-03. : 5:12 pm]
Roy -- What if I ran multiple instances of your program, one for each instance of SC?
[2014-10-03. : 5:08 pm]
jjf28 -- I don't think so, they're absoute addresses in memory as my understanding goes
[2014-10-03. : 5:06 pm]
Roy -- Wouldn't they be the same (relative) addresses, just in a different process? Or maybe I'm not understanding you correctly.
[2014-10-03. : 4:10 pm]
jjf28 -- I use direct addresses, a second instance would mean all the addresses would have to be calculated from something
